[12 Jun 2008|02:12pm] The Cat's Pajamas The year is 1921 in Chicago, roughly a year after Prohibition had gone into effect, and every state gave women the right to vote. Chicago is a breeding ground for criminal activity, especially that of organized crime. Bootlegging and speakeasies were all the rage, buying, selling and drinking illegal alcohol under the table was almost a way of life. At the top was Al Capone who controls most of Chicago through gang activity, funding itself through the speakeasies and bootlegging. The Jazz era is slowly kicking off, new music flooded the clubs springing out of the ground, film and automobiles are only some of the new technologies that are being modernized for the average person during this time period. The economy is on the rise, radio is one of the biggest forms of entertainment, and a new kind of woman is on the rise. Flappers are seen on the streets in the clubs, seen as independent and strong.The world is changing, and everyone along with it. What will you do with the time that's been given before the Great Depression strikes? We know the struggles they encountered, the obstacles they overcame, the love they felt for each other which was stronger and more important than anything else. We felt as if we were a part of their journey from Twilight to Eclipse and beyond. But what if the roles were reversed? What is Bella was the vampire and Edward was the human? Perfect Paradigm RPG is an AU Twilight game where Bella Cullen is a vegetarian vampire living in the Cullen coven in Forks, Washington and Edward Masen is a human, just moving to town because of his father’s job transfer. Edward’s blood calls out to Bella and she finds herself falling for much more than his scent. Join us on a journey is seeing what would happen if the story of Twilight was reversed, was a paradigm of what it is now. Will love conquer all? Our game starts at the beginning of Twilight with Edward Masen moving to the small town of Forks, Washington with his mother and father. Bella and the Cullens are students at Forks High and just like in the novel, when Bella first encounters Edward, his blood sings to her, calls to her. The storyline will remain relatively the same, same general events (i.e. the crash in the parking lot, Port Angeles, baseball) playing out with reversed roles with the players deciding what actually happens in each of them. This game will have many mature themes. Slash Friendly. Different and in the fun variety, naturally! PREMISE Then. Creation Sunday the 21st of October, 9008 BC, at 8:45 AM to October 31st, 2008. (23h59, to be precise) Everyone knows the story. It is one of the most tragic, yet epic tale of all time. Creation, Rebellion, Even war, who could have guessed that a mere point could break up the very foundation of Heaven. A lasting result sending well over one third of all those once considered celestial beings to be sent packing to their current residence -- Hell. Since "the big one," there have been some signs of cooperation amongst those divided into the two parties. As time continued, angels tended to not breach the holy demands of God. Less rebellions occurred, and fewer angels risked the damnation for eternity. The last one having occurred during the times of Greek authority and Roman rule -- little more than two thousand years ago. Keep in mind, such a concept like Loyalty is greatly supported by both groups. Together they held their tongues, waiting, finding ways to pass the time through means of literally "raising hell" on Earth. It is this playing field that they act upon. Conflict upon conflict, the never ending battles of good and evil. Humans, being their most enjoyed vessels of pure enjoyment. They wait, patiently. Both sides. Counting the hours down til once again, they can wage war. Angel versus Angel, once again. The story was told, and that story remains. Samhain Eve, a concept celebrated through many around the United Kingdom is still one of the key festivals of the Celtic calendar, and is practiced around the 31st of October. Samhain represents the final harvest before winter, The time when the God dies, only to be reborn once again from that of the Goddess. The true symbolism that the earth is ever changing. Also known as Feast of the Dead, many believe that it is on this night that the veils between the real world, and the supernatural are allowed to collide, and at times fading compleately. The spirits of the past, and other entities on this night, are allowed to travel freely from both realms to socialize with the humans, the less aware. Now. November 1st, 2008. All Saints Day. The angels and the fallen have all on this morning, woken up inside a human shell. The body they now occupy, has always been living and breathing -- having a life on Earth. It has a history, a family, friends, maybe even a job and romance. These people are .. human. They cry when punched (unless you may find that to be kinky), all possess habits which could be considered less attractive, secrets, and stories to tell. If you ask anyone, they would tell you that this person has always been around. By physical appearance alone, they all look ... normal enough. Here's a secret, just between you and I. In all actuality, up until today it really.. never existed. Heaven and Hell are no more. God and the Devil have simply vanished, those familiar presences not even felt by any of those with demonic or angelic origin. They have literally, just woken up, flustered in a daze of confusion and bewilderment, enthralled in the bustling city of New York. In such a harsh environment, unfamiliar to most, probably won’t be helping the grieving process any. Amongst many, there are questions. Why me?, Why this now?, Why this way? For most, it was the only place they could call home. Now, literally thrown in the middle of a busy street. This is the ultimate test. But then, who knows which ones of them will mind. Foes will be reunited. Maybe even friends.
