Unlike other games based on a no-war environment, Euphoria Lane provides mod designated events on a local, national, and international scale, so there will always be a plot to follow, alongside in-depth character development. We've also made it very easy for new players to catch up!
We are looking for motivated and creative role-players, who are willing to put effort into making the Harry Potter world as real as possible, through quality writing and original storylines. If you're a player looking to explore individual depths and development for a character you love, we invite you to join us with your wit, irony, and maybe a little flash of skin.
In return, we'll tickle your fancy with monthly organized game activities, writing challenges, and a space to create and develop the magical world of Harry Potter. This is a game focused on character development and writing, run by experienced moderators and completely drama free.

You wake up to the smell of smoke.
In the year 2008, a virus swept North America. Ever vigilant for a pandemic, citizens boarded up their windows, stockpiled their canned goods, and turned their neighbors in to the CDC. Short wave radios fell off the shelves, evacuation routes were prepared. Gas masks and specialty filtration systems were distributed. Pills were available for those showing early symptoms. Pills that did not work. That were later replaced with cyanide as their active ingredient. For those who were brave enough to put their fingers near a loved one's mouth. The United States, Canada, Mexico, the virus swept down into South America and festered in the heat of the jungle. In some places it burned out. Superstition ruled and saved lives. But nothing stopped the virus.
You wake up to the crackle of dead airwaves.
Three months after the first diagnosed case of Currere Excessum was recorded, NATO approved Great Britain's use of nuclear force against the United States. It was assumed that all organic material would be reduced to ash under the impact. It was assumed that the Quarantine of the Americas would be temporary, at best. Any who survived the blast would be given the highest in humanitarian attention and medical care. The only American emissaries who knew of the plan lay incinerated in Washington. The Quarantine continued. The Americas lay abandoned. Empty.
You wake up to the scratching sounds.
Except for the Nuclear Autumn. Some died in the blast, others didn't. The virus was resilient. The ash of the blast rose into the sky, infecting the atmosphere with darkness. Clouds rolled in to stay permanently. And the creatures came out in the permanent gloom. Any survivors were quickly swept into the clutches of their word nightmares. The twilight that came at midday would be the safest time for any to attempt to find rescue. If there was any rescue to be found.
You wake up in time to run.
Now, there is a matter of survival. The human race has been diminished to almost nothing, less than a percentile of its original population. The Hordes still linger, swarming in larger cities, feasting on the remains of those killed in the blast. But their preference is for live flesh. The land is scoured. Livestock and housepets, those that were not decimated by the blast, are killed instantly. Survivors start out alone, but they pick up others. Some they'd never trust. Some they must. Survival rates are higher in groups. The mission is survival: Feed, clothe, and keep moving before the Horde can catch up. Don't get sick. Don't slow down. And hope that one day, the Quarantine will be lifted.

It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time.
Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin...
Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team!

A new, thread-based celeb RPG, opening January 26.
Unlike many celeb games, "Hey, You Look Like..." is centered on third-person narrative threading, while still supporting and encouraging more traditional celeb elements such as journalling and AIM and post-based chatting. We are currently accepting holds on characters, and will be opening on January 26. Hope to see some of you there!

In the year 1997, Harry Potter brought upon the demise of the long feared Dark Wizard, Lord Voldemort. Shortly after his downfall, Kingsley Shacklebolt was named Minister of Magic temporarily. During this time, the Ministry immediately started investigating all of it's employees in an effort to rid Wizarding London of all supporters of the Dark Lord and of anyone who abused their power or committed any crimes during the war. People were arrested and fired and many more were found to have been under the imperius curse. Such actions and steps being made and taken by the Ministry, the community reveled in their new hope for a life of peace and normalcy. No longer would they have to live in fear of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and no longer would they have to doubt Ministry and their actions.
Unfortunately, it took only four short years for corruption to spread through out the Ministry and the Wizarding world once more. The new found struggle for power within the Ministry walls resulted in blackmail, conspiracy and murder. In December of 1998, Kingsley Shacklebolt was found murdered in his office along side the Aurors that were assigned to protect him. The investigation concluded that the Minister and his guards were murdered by one of the Death Eaters that is still on the run from searching Aurors. Shortly after the investigation ended, Gawain Robards was given the position of Minister of Magic. He was supported by a large group of followers, but some knew better. Robards welcomed the position and for a long time had craved it and had his own ideas about how Wizarding London should be ran. He spent years collecting information on existing members of the Wizenmagot and many people with high positions of power within the Ministry. Robards promised positive changes within the community and offered a charming demeanor that gained him the support of all of his followers. The Minister took it upon himself to use this information that he had on many members of the Ministry to force out the honest employees that did not adhere to his new ideas.

In anticipation of Harry Potter losing the protection of his relatives on his seventeenth birthday, hours before his death, Albus Dumbledore created a spell that could save the lives of thousands and change the course of magical history. It is a spell that on 31 July 1997, unexpectedly sends Harry, Dumbledore's Army, and the Order of the Phoenix back in time to the year 1978. There they are tasked with meeting up with the original Order, sharing the knowledge of the Horcruxes, and doing everything in their power to defeat the Dark Lord. Question is, will it be enough? And will the original members be able to handle news of their fates? Some discover they have died, others meet themselves alive and twenty years older, but they all have one thing in common: a desire to destroy Lord Voldemort.
Except there was one small glitch. They weren't the only ones sent back. Friends, loved ones, and enemies have also been sent back, and they, too, are armed with knowledge of the future. Instead of being the covert operation Dumbledore was expecting, it has turned into a race against time.
It is 1978 -- three years before Harry Potter defeats the Dark Lord, three years before Lily and James Potter die to protect their son, and three years before Sirius Black is framed for thirteen murders that Peter Pettigrew commits. But they're not just here to save their own lives. They're here to change the course of history.

What if the Prophecy that made Harry Potter the 'Boy who lived' hadn't been given to the Dark Lord? What if a falsified Prophecy had been passed to him instead?
The year is 1995, When Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts. A few changes have been made to the staff over the summer, the most noticeable being the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor; A Mr. Tom Marvolo Riddle. His new post is widely questioned by the wizarding world; The man has been convicted of murders throughout the seventies, why would Dumbledore hire him to teach young children? Dumbledore simply plays it off saying that he has applied "twice before". That he has not been able to be convicted of anything. Mr. Riddle has, after all, been studying abroad since the 1980's, and is very knowledgeable on his subject.

It’s been proven by scientists and researchers that there truly exists a race called vampyre. Defined by the blue crescent-shaped mark on the forehead, a vampyre is Marked and subsequently leaves for the House of Night to begin “training.” Some may call it ghoul school, some may call it...well, whatever they like, but no one can predict if or when a teen will be Marked. Humans denigrate and fear it, and the unlucky individuals who now have this bodacious mark on their foreheads have a lot to deal with -- a change of life, a new school, and getting used to those who share their fate.

New York City is considered to be the biggest melting pot in the world. Possessing all the qualities that make a true Cosmopolitan city, it is diverse, complicated and always steeped in controversy. From ostentatious sophistication of high society to the daily grind of average Joes, this is New York City. It is a city where people come to make their dreams come true, or simply fall victim to the temptations that await.
Cosmopolitan is a modern, PB-based storyline that welcomes characters from all walks of life; whether they are small business owners, artists, musicians, Broadway performers, college students, taxi drivers, and even sidewalk vendors. Cosmopolitan is not your typical apartment/resident type of storyline. Though, the main focal area is in Manhattan, NY, characters may live in any of the boroughs of New York.

Let's Cruise is an established and active PB community which began on GJ in June 2007. We have recently moved to IJ, and now we are expanding - not only can you play a character who works on a cruise ship, you can now also play characters who work at the cruise line's corporate headquarters in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. These characters can include lawyers, accountants, administrative assistants, typists, receptionists, and more!
