Help, please? <3
Where may I find a generator-style layout that replaces the normal header (icon, username, blah blah blah) with a header image instead?

I think what they did was this:

Go here. You'll see a box in grey at the top that says: /*This line moves your entries down so, that they start under the header.

Adjust number (margin-top) until it's small enough that the entries are hidden. Any would do but I personally suggest using the ones at girdles as they're easiest to edit. If you're still having trouble just let me know. And sorry for the misunderstanding again!

No problem. I'm just so glad that there are people on InsaneJournal that actually understand this coded mess. I'm quite versed in HTML/CSS, but when it comes to journals, I feel like an extreme noob.

I avoided journal roleplay for the longest time because I couldn't understand how to edit anything. It was a big, terrible mess that I just didn't want to get into, but once I figured out how to use the most basic version of journals, I started making a journal for each of my characters instead of making separate websites like we AOL roleplayers tend to do often.

It's so much easier to store character information in journals anyway.

But as for the coding, when I get a chance, I'll take a look at it and see what I can do. If I have any problems, I'm coming straight back to you and tugging on your pant leg. >>;

Ahh, the days long ago of AOL RP. I know those days well. It is much easier! And once you figure out the basics, super easy. So, no worries - you'll catch on soon.

No worries! It's actually rather simple once you get the basics down. If you're just starting out there's a tutorial that was posted not long ago about coding basics (here). The typography tutorial, table cheat sheet, guide to making a simple S2 layout (I think [info]splott's community [info]kerning has some resources about making S1 layouts, too) , and this website would also come in handy.

No problem. If I don't answer within a day or something just e-mail me. I'm terrible about remembering to reply to things after I mark mu mail as read.

I'm replying to your comment now, btw.
