Okay I know I'm not crazy, I saw this on my friends page a while back but I cannot find it for the life of me. Does anyone have the coding/template for a fake ONTD post? any/all help would be greatly appreciated!

I have two versions: one for when you click a cut/comment link (which could work for making any ij/lj comm, i guess - just change out the comm name), and then the one with the purple ONTD background.

I can just link you to when I used them for my character and you can view source to grab the code. You should be able to just copy/paste and then upload it to scribbld or whatever site you use.

You should just have to swap out fake usernames, icons, time/date, etc.

No credit is needed because I'm pretty sure I got this from a friend who got it from another friend who got it from another friend, etc. etc.

I'm sorry, I'm not quite awake yet... Custom data page function? Like a style page? Once I get everything how I want it I go to: Customize Journal > Advanced > Create New Style. I select Most Recent Event, leave the style dropdown as 'None', and then when I'm on the edit page I go all the way down to the LASTN_PAGE and copy/paste all the code there.

If you don't have paid account IJ won't let you make styles, but you can sign up @ scribbld.net and they will. It's basically the same thing, but after you sign on you click on Create New Style on the right sidebar under Customize instead of Customize Journal. From there the process is the same.

I'm sorry if this wasn't what you were asking, but it's the only custom thing I can think of! :-[

I'm not really positive what to call it, so the confusion is totally not your fault. ^^; I mean how it has "data" and "custom view" in the link: http://ezekial.insanejournal.com/data/customview?styleid=3973, but I can't think of any function on IJ that lets you make a page like that...but if that is, in fact, what you were talking about (which I'm pretty sure it is), then you managed to answer, anyway! I'll try it out on scribbld because I don't think it's quite worth a paid account to me at the moment. Thanks again, and sorry for the fail question-asking, heh. ♥

Ooohhhhhh. I've never paid attention to that, honestly. :-[

But! I do know that if you go to the Edit/Create Style page it will let you make it! And, I def recommend scribbld. I got my perm account when they were runny a really good sale, but I wouldn't pay for another when I can just go to scribbld. Also, if you have any more questions or trouble let me know and I can try to help out!
