Entry tags:question: layouts

Alright so I have a journal that I'm using a layout on that will not for the life of it show tables inside of entries. how do I fix this? I've changed table codes a billion times, I've scoured over my css in the journal and cant find anything that would cause an war between the two. anything I might need to look for?

I'm NOT AT ALL an expert, but I think that generator layouts will mess up tables you post in the journal?

it's not messing it up per say, it's just not showing it, well I should say it will show tables without an Lj span tag but won't with it..
