Hi there! I have a question regarding making icons in GIMP, in particular: what settings are actually good for making icons in GIMP? The ones I have of Toro y Moi in my icons are the first I've done outside of PS, and to me they look hideous in comparison to the other ones I've done. When I made icons in PS, I would do Overlay 50% -> Screen 50% (if it needed it) -> Scale -> Sharpen. For GIMP I do the same thing except with Unsharp Mask, though in all honesty I'm playing with it now and it seems like Sharpen might be a better option. I'm not sure yet. This doesn't change the fact that image scaling seems to decrease the quality (like with this one).

So I guess my question is: what are good settings for scaling, or at least some way of making cleaner icons like the ones I have of Willy and Nir in GIMP?

Actually, here's a better example of what I mean: unscaled, scaled. It's most pronounced on his ear.
