Does anyone know of a way to re-set a journal? For example, remove friends, remove icons, delete journal entries, delete notifications?

you would have to log into the new journal and rename the new journal to whatever journal name you want to keep. it will get rid of all the icons, friends, notifs since the newly created journal should have none of that

There isn't any other way? I don't exactly have the money to spare right now to rename 10 journals.

that is the only way i can think of to clear it completely
