How would I add a picture (just a regular jpeg or possibly a gif) to my top bar -- sorry if this is vague, I have no idea what to call it. But I've attached examples!

Here, here, here.

i don't have the link off hand but if you go into the layout page, the one that has all of them, it's about 2/3 of the way down in the furthest right column. it's grey with a blue/green picture/header thing and it has writing in it about being blank and the sizing of the picture you need. i hope that helps!

the problem is the layout she is looking for has the links built into the header, they arent two separate pieces.

yes, that's what i've been trying to figure out - how to insert a picture off to the side. although i definitely appreciate everyone taking the time out to answer my question! i feel like i'm getting close to what i'm trying to do.

if you figure it out, share with me? i've view sourced but the strange thing seems to be its built into the actual journal code and not the usable borrowable stuff. i also checked to see if it was a paid account only thing, and it isn't, so i'm just really confused and awed.

no the three in the examples above dont have userinfo/calender/icons at all, its a completely converted box for the header.

Were you ever able to figure out how to insert a graphic itself like ~kheating's into the navigation box, without it being a background image?
