Schedule Codes
Hey everybody! I bring you guys some Harry Potter related tables that I'm currently using at the game I'm co-moding, incanescomods /shamelessplug!
The first is a class schedule, very similar in appearance to the one I already posted on this community ages ago here. The difference is that I've gone and split the classes into sections, for maximum canon accuracy!
Live example is here. This works because we cap the sections at ten people, so just like in real school, not everybody who's taking a subject has it at the same time. It also solves the problem of "Surely not only ten people in all of Hogwarts' 6th year class are continuing an important subject like Transfiguration?" by offering more sections for more popular lessons. If all ten slots of a subject fill up, it's easy to add more sections of them; just find a block where that subject's not already offered in either sixth/seventh year and add it in! Also, as you can see in the live example, I put a note above this table that Astronomy lasts from 11-12:30 nightly because that was the neatest way to fit it into the table.
I'm sure this could be modified to add fifth year subjects as well, it just seems like that would be kind of pointless as those sections aren't as specialized and therefore aren't capped at such small numbers. I suppose you could put in "5th Year Charms G/R" (Gryffindors and Ravenclaws) at one time and "5th Year Charms H/S" (Hufflepuffs and Slytherins) for another, if you wanted to include them. :)
If you want your players to put this information in their applications (as we have them do), just ask them to delete any sections that their character is not enrolled in, and put in "Free Period" if they're not enrolled in any sections during a given time block.
Finally, I'm going to be real with you guys. Very few of the sections make nice, neat sense, like the same class is offered MWF at the same time, or there's a double section on Tues and a single on Thurs, etc. I could have done that, but I decided to make it deliberately sort of sporadic, because it's HOGWARTS. A little chaos is a Good Thing.
My other offering today is a fairly fancy-looking Quidditch match schedule!

For this one, to add more rows, you will need to swap the order of some of the cells within the table. In the code above, since Gryffindor is on the right, I have the cell with their icon following the cell with their name. If you want to have Gryffindor be on the left, just swap the order of those two cells.
Also, the last row is (obviously) out of order but just included so you have an example of what we've got going on. It's that way for now but once we get far along enough in the season to fill in what teams will be playing in the final, we'll fill them in and it'll look like a normal match!
