What are your thoughts on the idea of character 'muses' being the inspiration for roleplay (or fiction or anything else based around characters)? Do you have 'muses'? Tell us about them and how they work for you.

The muse is what helps me gets me thinking if what I could do or where my character can go or relate. I know without one, my character would be at loss or pointless. I had a character I had for almost 3 years and just let go of her recently because her voice and muse were so soft. To me, without that voice or muse youre basing your character off game situations more than the character itself because theres nothing there to get you going. I guess I feel like when I feel that character come to me so clearly that the stronger the muse is, the more apt I am to keeping them or being able to focus more and bring the best out in every part of my writing, whereas if I didnt have one my character wouldnt be able to keep me going. I think its all in the writer, but a muse is a good inspiration, it gives me that little push.

I definitely have muses and they are what inspire me to write and keep going at times when I don't want to because of a situation game-wise. Like

mentioned my muses have a voice. Sometimes it's loud and other times it's 'normal'. I think I'd be lost without my muses. They keep me focused and let me know whether or not I like playing/writing a particular character. If that voice isn't there, then I'm not going to write said character. I have to feel them and know that I can draw inspiration from them.
