Blaise and Valentin fight.
warnings: mentioned student/teacher and chan
Val: *knocks softly on Blaise's door* professor?
B: *opens the door* Valentin? Is something wrong?
Val: No, I... I just liked our talk last time. Felt like doing it again.
B: *smiles, opens the door wider* Please... Come in. Have you eaten?
Val: *enters* no, professor. I'm not hungry.
B: Tea, then? How are you feeling today?
Val: *smiles* yes, please. *sighs slightly* I'm fine, professor.
B: *summons some tea, then settles on the couch, patting the spot next to him* Sugar? Cream?
Val: just sugar, please... *blushes a bit* three lumps...
B: *laughs, then makes him a cup with three cubes of sugar and stirs it before handing it to Val and making his own with a dollop of cream and a single cube of sugar, stirring it slowly and watching Val* So, classes start again next week. Are you ready for them?
Val: *sips his tea, finding it just sweet enough, then shrugs, looking at Blaise* I guess so...
B: *chuckles* you could always switch subjects...
Val: to what, professor? My Mother wants me to take Divination *makes a face* and I can't drop Ancient Runes.
B: *sighs* Ah. I do understand. Mothers are...difficult. Still, if she ever changes his mind...or you do...you're more than welcome in my class. *smiles*
Val: hmmm.... I could take an extra subject. I've only chosen two out of three possible *smiles* is your subject interesting, professor?
B: *smirks* Of course it is.
Val: do you think I'd be any good at it?
B: How is your maths?
Val: okay, I guess.
B: *smiles* you wouldn't believe the magic you can do with maths.
Val: tell me about it, professor. Please?
B: *grins, eyes going bright* you can map the world without leaving your room. You can describe anything, and therefore control it.
Val: *eyes wide and impressed* wow.
B: *grins wider* It's not easy magic, but it's worth it.
Val: sounds... wicked!
B: *laughs* It is.
Val: and... You can teach me this stuff?
B: *nods* Of course. Or I wouldn't be a very good teacher, would I?
Val: *snickers* guess not.
B: *smirks* so, what do you think?
Val: I'd love to!
B: *grins* we’ll have to get you a tutor...
Val: a tutor? A... another student?
B: *nods* Yes...
Val: who would that be?
B: I'm not sure. I'll have to look through my roster. See who would be good for you.
Val: Hm. *scratches his cheek a bit* professor?
B: Yes, Valentin?
Val: couldn't... you be my tutor?
B: I'm afraid not. If I tutored you, others would ask for the same amount of time. If you have issues that your tutor can't help you with, then I can help you, but it's better if you work with someone your own age so that people don't think something untoward is going on.
Val: Hm. *looks disappointed*
B: *sighs, strokes his cheek* Valentin...you need to have friends your own age. And you won't if you don't give them a chance...
Val: *takes his hand and removes it from his cheek, looking up at him* I... I don't care about people my own age. I don't need friends. *still holds his hand*
B: Mmm... *watches him for a moment* This isn't going to work on me, you know. I'm...not like him. I...remember too sharply how much it hurt to be in your place. Plus...I tend to prefer... *chuckles* ...Older men.
Val: *looks irritated and lets go of his hand* fine.
B: *bites back a chuckle* Does this mean you're no longer interested in my class?
Val: *makes a non-comitting shrug, not meeting Blaise's eyes*
B: *sighs* Valentin... Look at me.
Val: *looks at him, his expression the classic one of an offended teen* what?
B: *raises an eyebrow, and tries to do his best impression of Snape's unimpressed face* Life is not about sex, whatever certain parts of your anatomy might be telling you.
Val: *flushes slightly* then... why'd you bring me to your office in the first place?
B: Is that the only reason you can think of someone would want to spend time with you? You shouldn't sell yourself short that way.
Val: *flushes a bit more* you still didn't answer my question, professor.
B: Because, like I told you, I pay attention to all the Slytherins. And you...reminded me of me.
Val: *arches an eyebrow* that's it?
B: Does it matter why? Or would you prefer just to be ravished? *huffs, then stands up* Perhaps you should go.
Val: *crosses his arms, sniffing slightly* yeah, maybe I should.
B: *huff* so...you honestly think that someone can only care for you if they sleep with you?
Val: *swallows and looks down. Voice quiet now* that's... that's how it's always been.
B: Well, I'm here to tell you...those people leave. Always. *closes his eyes, takes a deep breath, then looks at Val again* I don't want you to be hurt like that.
Val: *looks up* that's not true! Adrian he... *goes quiet for a while, then says in a small voice* he promised me he'll never leave me.
B: *sits next to him once more* and yet...he can't promise you that for certain, Valentin. I was...always certain Severus would be there, scowling at me, making me want him even more.
Val: he... he gave me his word and... Said he loved me. That's enough for me!
B: Then why this need to seduce others? Don't you believe him?
Val: *flushes* I... *swallows* I don't know.
B: I know it is easier to please older men than it is to get on with your age-mates...but there are benefits...
Val: *gets up, pacing* I don't care about that! He... he says he loves me and... I love him! It's good enough for me.
B: And when he his forty, and you twenty? Will you still think him so attractive as you do now?
Val: his age doesn't matter to me.
B: *knew that was a failing tack, but had to try it* and when you are no longer young enough for him? How will you feel when he wants a new, younger playmate?
Val: *makes a strangled sort of noise* he... he won't! He said he'd never leave me! He promised!
B: But you can't be sure. And even if he doesn't...how long before you resent him? *raises an eyebrow* If he loves you truly, he will let you grow up first. Find out who you *really* are.
Val: d-don't talk about him like that! You... you have no idea what you're talking about!
B: Don't I? *looks sad*
Val: No! You... you don't know him like I do!
B: *snorts* No. I don't. But I have had friends who've had the...pleasure.
Val: *swallows* I.... I don't care what he was like when he was younger. He's... he's not like that anymore!
B: Leopards don't change their spots. They only get darker over time.
Val: what's that supposed to mean!
B: *sighs* People don't change Valentin. They simply become more of what they were when they were younger.
Val: No! Adrian loves me and he will never leave me!
B: *closes his eyes* I'm sorry. I didn't invite you to see me to upset you. I simply...worry.
Val: well, don't worry about me.
B: How can I not? When you come on to me, you don't spend any time with your classmates, and you think you have found your great love at thirteen? It's...not healthy, Valentin.
Val: *flushes and says nothing*
B: *sighs* I wish I could comfort you in a way that you wouldn't take amiss, Val. I do enjoy spending time with you, but I will not be someone you can seduce. Not ever.
Val: *sneers* I don't need your comfort... professor!
B: *sighs again* No. Just his? Or are there others who "comfort" you?
Val: I don't have to tell *you* that!
B: You don't have to. Though I can't help wondering who they are. I don't think there are many teachers in this place you *would* find attractive...
Val: they're not teachers.
B: I thought not. What I can't figure out is who they might be... Not students, obviously. And you don't hang out with any students to seduce their parents...that leaves your mother's friends, and Hogsmeade. Am I right?
Val: *flushes again* why do you want to know anyway?
B: Because his crowd is...very dangerous. And I told you. I don't want to see you hurt.
Val: they're not dangerous! They take care of me. Protect me. They wouldn't hurt me.
B: Really? And just how well do you know them? Hm? I'm certain you won't tell me their names, but if I know Pucey... *nostrils flare* There is a reason people were scared of the Death Eaters, Valentin.
Val: I... I know them well enough to know that I'm safe with them! I don't care what they used to be like, in fact... *breathes hard* I... I might have joined them had I been alive back then!
Val: *sneers* maybe I would! My father taught me a lot and I'm sure Adrian and Ra.... *shuts himself up, groaning*
B: *ignores the half-name for now* He taught you how to kill? What it does to your soul? I had a friend who thought like you. He nearly destroyed himself with it before he realized he could change.
Val: I'm not like your friend!
B: Are you so sure? *reaches out to try to stroke his cheek* Val...
Val: *jerks away* don't touch me!
B: *sighs* I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you.
Val: well... you did!
B: Valentin... I wish... *sighs* I am sorry.
Val: what.... do you wish?
B: I wish that I had not said anything. I suppose I am at least as culpable in this as they. At least they make you happy. *looks at him* they do, I hope?
Val: Very!
B: *sighs* I suppose it's true what they say. No one can keep you from making your own mistakes.
Val: he's not a mistake!! He's... the best thing that ever happened to me! Just because *you* were dumped once it doesn't mean that I will! *is panting slightly with anger*
B: *dryly* I meant *me* Valentin.
Val: *flushes slightly* Hm.
B: I would say that your outburst proves my point, but...it is actually rather understandable after what I've said to you this evening. I can't undo that. But I hope you will remember that I will be here if you need help. For any reason. I don't expect you to believe me now. Just remember it.
Val: *grumbles* don't need your help!
B: Yes. I assumed that would be your answer. Nevertheless, it is there when you change your mind. Even if it is to *help* him.
Val: *just gazes at Blaise, not knowing what to say*
B: *looks down* Perhaps I am...a bit... *makes a face* Jealous.
