TODAY'S SUMMARY |
The hotel reopened its doors and the first group of guests arrived at the island, including some surviving family of the infamous Blackwood Thirty. The staff arranged a meet and greet brunch where the island guests could mingle and get to know one another. Late that night, Veronica Clermont could be heard screaming near a staircase on the first floor. Guests on the seventh floor may have seen her crying on the way to her father’s door, before she went back to her room. Elsewhere, some of the Blackwood Thirty woke up on the beach as if the three years hadn’t passed, with no memory of the last two days of Spring Break 2016. Some expected to be at the beach, but others were confused, disoriented, or angry. Teddy Lawson saw a strange sight on the beach involving two small children, a warning, and a disappearing skull. Sally Rogers, Max Kingman, and Jude Maraschino attempted to go back to the hotel and found themselves frustrated by their inability to open doors or use the elevator. |
There may be murmurs in the morning about the guest who screamed. Some members of the hotel staff will spend their morning dealing with the fallout of that. Security guard, Maven Mahoney, will want to talk to the Clermonts about the events of last night. He will take a few minutes during breakfast to reassure the other guests that the hotel is an extremely safe place and that they take hotel security very seriously. Officer Mahoney will also write a network post in case there is an anxious guest out there who missed him at breakfast. Today, Avery Emerson will begin offering instructional diving lessons at 11 a.m. at the pool for any guests who are interested in a later scuba diving excursion. Sailing and tennis lessons are also available. All throughout the day, the west elevator will be having periodic issues that will be reported to Jaxon Mahoe. He may be frustrated to find no issue with the elevator, despite all of these reports. The carnival is still being set up, but all other amenities are available to be enjoyed at each guest’s pleasure, including the tennis courts, spa, fitness room, and dunes. Both Harmony Gladwin and Poppy Gladwin will be offering optional tours of certain parts of the island. The tours will happen that afternoon. Characters will be given an opportunity to sign up for one of these tours that morning. At around 3:00 p.m., the guests who did not elect to go on an island tour, will be temporarily evacuated from the hotel when a fire alarm goes off. This will turn out to be a false alarm and guests will return to their rooms by 3:30 p.m. Dinner is served from 5 to 7 in the Grand Dining Room. |
PLOT OBJECTIVES FOR THE DAY: |
|
We are looking for some spooky encounter volunteers. Not just for today, but in general. If you are down for submitting your characters to the wrath of the island ghosts, sign up below. We just want to make sure that everyone who wants island ghost discoveries will get them and to plan things accordingly. Today’s spooky encounters will both take place during the island tours. Based on who signs up for which tour, and who has expressed an interest in spookery, we will select the characters with a random selector wheel. One of the tour stops will be Shipwreck Cove, where quite a few ghosts currently are still. If you want to plot your ghost seeing a living relative then, this is one potential opportunity. The island ferry will not be making as many trips today, but it will be arriving. If you have a new character and want to start them fresh on Day 2, you are welcome. |
