Re: TWD: graham + clem
Truth be told, much as he knew Shane could take care of himself he'd still been worried at how long the man'd been gone. Sure, he looked like hell, but he was alive. Graham didn't bother trying to hide his grin as he helped get him over the sill, stepping back to give him some space to catch his breath once he was in and on his own two feet. "Sorry it took so long," he said, and he realized something then, or at least started to; he'd been so wrapped up in a ghost that he'd missed what was right in front of him. Real people, solid under his fingers. People who cared about him, people who for some godforsaken reason were willing to give him a chance even after he'd been a damn fool. He was sorry for more than just taking a while to get here.
But then Clem was nudging him out of the way, and he didn't think much of it until her palm met his cheek with a loud clap to go along with her angry words. Eyebrows raised, Graham just stared and tried real hard not to laugh. Hell, he didn't even mind when she wiped her hand on his sleeve; she cared more about cleanliness than he did. The kiss Shane placed on her cheek, though, that made him laugh some, and even if he was an asshole he was one that was suddenly real damn glad that they were both alive.
"You hurt?" He couldn't tell under all that blood.
