Re: TWD: graham + clem
He shrugged when she asked about Evie. "Ain't as crazy as I first thought she was," he said wryly. Truth be told, in the beginning Graham hadn't wanted a thing to do with the woman. He'd been real protective of Joy, still was, and what Clem'd told him hadn't made him all that inclined to be friends. But she wasn't crazy, least not the dangerous kind. She was like him, in a way, trying to go on after losing somebody she loved with a kid to take care of. "I like her all right. After Lore..." He frowned to himself. "After she left, we talked some." She was different, sure, but he didn't mind her.
Not sighing when the world was ending made no damn sense, and he shook his head as she grinned. "Think the world's already ended." But he went serious when she did, and he didn't answer right away; he looked out the window, down at the street, lost in thought. Made more sense to go looking for Shane on his own. Clem had her arm in a sling, and she wasn't like him, wasn't like Shane, killing didn't come easy.
But leaving her here came with its own risks. What if the dead somehow managed to get in? What if he and Shane didn't make it back?-- She'd be as good as dead then anyway.
"I hear," he said, finally, looking back at her. He just hoped it didn't come to that.
