Re: Silent Hill: Meredith & Flash
[It was a bit of a relief when Flash took the gun from her. His words of showing her how to use it later were also good. Later was good. Later meant she didn't have to touch it again, and it was a minor relief in the face of everything else that was going on. She gave a wordless little nod in response and picked a bit more at the energy bar before she folded the wrapper over and shoved it in her pocket for later. Another drink though, yeah, she could do that, the bottle drained with the last pull, capped a moment later. ]
You're sure about that? [She watched him check the windows and she took the time to try and relax her shoulders a bit, to get some of the tension out of them. It wasn't the best of efforts, but it helped - a little. But then he turned back to her and started to explain some of the things that this place could do. If she could pale any further, she certainly did at that point. It wasn't the dead people that worried her in that moment, but the living. The things - people - she had left behind.] So it makes you face things in your past, and won't let you out until you've dealt with them?
[Her voice was a bit wobbly at that, gaze upwards as she searched over the dingy, dirty ceiling. Meredith chewed at the inside of her cheek for a moment, thinking of her ex-husband, the son she left behind. She thought of the man from Vegas, the church, one of the few moments in her life where she thought that she might die. She had skeletons, not many, but enough that it made the few bites of food she had choked down feel like lead in her stomach.]
