Who: Tess Mercer
Where: Her office at LuthorCorp; Metropolis; DC
What: In which Tess says hello to Watchtower
Rating: Low
This wasn’t her first time in dealing with an alternate universe, so it shouldn’t be too surprising. Not really. But the changes – they had been difficult to get used to at first. Reading through her tablet at back entries had filled her in on a few things, and Tess was nothing if not adaptable, so she’d managed to settle in fairly quickly. Somehow, most of her credentials and so forth hat shown up, and a little electronic tweaking had solidified things, and she now sat in her office at LuthorCorp, scanning through reports. A soft ping from one program caught her attention and she pulled it up, then blinked as she read through the code. It was here – in some form.
Watchtower.
Not her Watchtower, of course, but a Watchtower, and if that existed then it meant that certain other people did as well, and it also meant that she might able to continue to do her job here….which was all Clark Kent’s fault. So after locking down several firewalls and boosting her own security, she sent a program to Watchtower’s signature – nothing overly intrusive, more of a digital equivalent of Knock, Knock. It should at least alert someone out there that a possible ally was available, and also left a special IP address that would allow someone else to reply, should they be monitoring.
Now all she had to do was sit back and wait.
