Well, you could continue to fight crime, but considering most can do that and keep me well stocked, I think you should join their ranks. Since you were nice enough to offer.

Nothing's wrong with pineapples. I just... am confused as to why you can't get your own pineapples.

Someone else who knows me, apparently.

I'll be there within the hour. With pineapples.

[It was just under an hour before Ollie killed the engine to his bike at the address he had been given. There was a backpack snug against his back, and since he didn't know what kind of pineapple she wanted, there was a little bit of everything. Canned. Dried. Fresh. He had passed on the frozen since that just didn't seem like a good idea. Dismounting, he pulled off his helmet and looked up at the Clocktower, brows raised. She'd said she'd open up if she saw him, so now it was just a matter of waiting.]

[The base to the Clocktower is closed, but this surprises no one in the surrounding areas. It’s just a clock, after all, and they’ve much more important things to do than marvel at it. So when the security door slides open, it’s hardly noticed by anyone at all unless they’re looking. Babs didn’t bother opening until she saw him waiting.

The elevator was glass, opening for him as well once he was inside the building, coinciding with the pronounced closing of the front door. She’d apologize for how creepy it was later. It eventually stopped on the sixteenth floor, opening up to a living space that a certain redhead was in the process of redoing. Near one clockface window was a massive setup of desks and computers. The monitors that lined the wall alternated between CCTV shots from around the city, rapidly processing code lines, and several other files and reports. One showed the cameras in the clocktower and Ollie’s approach.

Babs, however, was near the door that lead into the room, clearly expecting him. Her smile was warm, but wary, as it was during all introductions. Her palms pressed to her back as she stretched slightly, dressed in a loose grey dress that didn’t disguise her bump and stopped right over her knees and over a pair black tights.] You made it.

[There were a lot of things that he could have commented on with the doors opening automatically, the elevator that took him automatically where its owner wished, but he knew better than to start saying anything. He had his own methods, after all, and the others around him were allowed their own. It was certainly an entrance that he would remember, much better than that into his own 'cave' beneath the club.

He was dressed in casual wealth, dark jeans and a long sleeved t-shirt in cream that did nothing to hide the fact that he took care of himself. Short hair, his helmet dangling from his fingers, and he gave her a smile as he approached. Oliver was nothing short of charming and friendly when it mattered, after all.] I did promise, didn't I? [He hesitated for a moment, then extended a hand to her, the smile never wavering.] Oliver Queen. Though you obviously already know that. I'm still finding my way among all of you, it seems.

[She took his hand, one good and strong shake as she met his smile.] You’re very easy to pick out, Oliver Queen. Gotham might have a lot of millionaires and vigilantes but that doesn’t mean more escape our notice when they show up. Plus, you offered to help. Speaking of which. [One brow raise.] Pineapples or am I on my own for a delivery order?

[He returned the shake just as firmly, giving her a grin as he released her hand, already sliding the backpack from off his shoulder, hooking it over the crook of his arm for balance.] Helping is what I do best, I've found. [It was difficult to tell what all she might know about him, but judging by the bank of computers and monitors he could see, there probably wasn't much that escaped her attention. He imagined Felicity would be in heaven here if she knew, what with her affinity towards the technological side of everything. Oliver knew his way around, but he left the complicated stuff to those who really got it.

The backpack was unzipped and he displayed its contents towards her, glancing only for a moment at the bump, suspicions confirmed.] Wasn't sure what you preferred, so I got a little bit of everything. Can I ask how far along you are? [It was said as polite as possible, something that came easy to him.]

[A little laugh.] A little bit of everything is what we prefer. [Her hand rested fondly at the top of her stomach.] About… five months? Still got a ways to go but the cravings kind of get in the way of work. [She gestured with a wave of her hand the computers before gleefully taking the pineapples off his hands. With a slight nod, she gestured to the kitchen and for him to follow her.] So how are you adjusting?

[There was a grin at her response, letting her take the bag of fruit from him as she led the way towards the kitchen area.] I'm not going to pretend to understand what you're going through, but I imagine it gets difficult at times. At least you have people willing to bring you pineapples at all times of the day. [Oliver grinned again and stepped into the kitchen area after her, hands sliding into his pockets as he walked.]

And I'm adjusting fine. I guess. [There was a pause, just a brief one, and then he sighed.] A little overwhelming if I'm going to be honest, actually. I feel like I've stepped into someone else's life with everyone here that seems to know me.

I’m more lucky you offered when you did. I’m getting to the annoying point. Might as well give them a rest. [In the kitchen she pulled out things from cupboards and the fridge, her feet padding softly on the floor.] I definitely know how that goes. [Food in hand, she laid out the ingredients for a sandwich, gesturing to the bread with a quick:] Hungry? [before starting to make her ham, cheese, and pineapple concoction.] I had that when I got here. Apparently a few other Me’s had already showed up. It takes some getting used to but it’s not so bad. And this place is that much different than where you’re from? [She’d been away in space for some time. Keeping up with Gotham gossip had fallen by the wayside.]

The others not really keen on pineapple delivery? [It was said with a grin as Ollie leaned against one of the counters, watching as she pulled this and that out, his head eventually cocking to the side at the addition of the pineapple to the sandwich. It wasn't exactly his taste, but he supposed there were stranger things that she could do with it.] I'll take one minus the pineapple, if you don't mind.

[It was reassuring to know that he wasn't the only one in this situation, with other versions of him wandering around that he had no idea about.] It's different enough. Can't say I've ever heard of a Gotham back home. I've lived most of my life in Starling City. Done a bit of traveling, but I always end up back home. People seem... interesting though. And there's a couple here that I know, so I'm not dealing with it on my own.

I think they’re a little sick of always being on pineapple duty. One sandwich sans fruit, coming up. [She nodded as he talked, his thoughts echoing hers when she first arrived.] They’re good people. It’ll take some getting used to and some will gravitate to you because of who you are, were, can be, to them but it’s comes from a good place. They mean well. [Once finished, she handed him his sandwich with a smile.] And you’ve got some that you know and are in your corner? Odds are stacked in your favor.

Well, I'm happy to pitch in on pineapple delivery if the others don't come through for you. [Another grin and he watched as she made the sandwich and listened as she spoke, giving a nod after a moment as he reached out to accept the sandwich that was offered his way. Ollie spent a moment examining it before taking a bite, hip butted up against the counter as he chewed.]

Just a lot to get used to. Trying to keep an open mind, and some of you have been particularly welcoming, which helps. I'd like to get rid of that new kid feeling eventually. [There was a pause and he thumbed some crumbs away from the corner of his mouth.] So. You the eyes and ears?

That's very nice of you. I'm only a reporter myself so I don't really know what needs to be done other than what is already happening.

Maybe you should ask the Bat Man or Superman? Maybe they know! They always make the news.
