quicklog: luke & spidey, outside stark tower.
[In no world would Luke ever say no to patrolling with Spider-Man. Forget that he wasn't a superhero, or that Wren would be less than thrilled, or that he had dozens of other things to worry about; this was like a once in a lifetime opportunity. Once, that was what he told himself, and Wren might've hated the Mansion but it was safe and there were about three different people watching her on his behalf. Between Loki and Jack's apartment being set ablaze he had no idea if they'd even be staying in Marvel anyway, so might as well go out with a bang, right? And besides, he had kind of sent him to face Loki (unintentionally), which could've ended badly, and then stayed behind. Part of him wished he'd gone, but he knew it probably wouldn't have done any good. He knew now, though. That was something. Something he owed to the Spider, so there you go, he was going out to patrol with the superhero he'd admired most as a kid.
All other reasons aside, it was pretty much because he wanted to. He figured he could get it out of his system, and that'd be that. Or so he told himself.
He wasn't really worried about the whole 'secret identity' thing. Nobody knew who he was. He wasn't important, wasn't a public figure, and since he was from Vegas he was pretty sure Peter wouldn't know who he was even if he did see his face. Still, he was cautious by nature, so he decided to stick with Shadow for now. The suit was something he didn't think he'd ever end up using, and it wasn't perfected, but he figured it was good enough to make him anonymous. He waited on a nearby building by Stark Tower, hanging out in the shadows (ha-ha), eyes bright and so ready.]
