"Absolutely," she said with a smile, "You can always remind him it could be much worse." Evie tried hard not to think about what Will would do in these kinds of situations, she didn't know if it would make her do her job better or worse - so she was just swimming along somewhat blindly. Daisy was now eating the nose of her stuffed toy and also trying to make an escape. So Evie kept watching out of the corner of her eye lest she crawl off at light speed.
"I can't believe she's a year old, I remember every day of the last year and every moment of her life and I'm pretty sure, she doesn't remember waking me up in the middle of the night for seven months straight." she paused, she hadn't meant to go where her conversation was leading her. It was meant to be cute, about baby's and their short attention spans. It dawned on her that Daisy didn't remember anything about Will, and never ever would. No. Not today. She wasn't going to think about that today, so she forced the smile and the laugh at her own quip and shook her head. "I just can't believe how fast it's gone. For all of us."
