How have you been, Natasha? Or rather - how are you period since this is likely the first time you've ever heard me ask that question.

Healing from a recent injury, but fine otherwise.

See? Not so different after all, there's a familiar answer.

I've been reading the papers and following the news since I got here, looks like I missed a shitstorm.

Be glad you did.

I think even though it was out of my control that is easier said than done. I don't generally rejoice when I find out members of my team, and friends of mine went through something like that when I wasn't around. But I'll help with anything else I can now that I am here.

In that case, it must help that the majority of us aren't the same people you know. But the assistance in the future, if necessary, would be appreciated I'm sure.

Come on, you can't be so different from who I know that you'd think that makes a difference in our line of work.

We're only a team out of necessity or so everyone keeps proving.

It's happened more than once in mine as well. It's a thing.

Do you want to talk about it? You don't have to, you don't know me at all. But sometimes that works best if you just need to bitch.

The sometimes shocking, but not altogether surprising, lack of teamwork amidst the total and complete bro-ness of their terrible, and chaotic behavior. Throw that in with their skewed outlook on everyone and everything. Not to mention their standard response to good behavior and teamwork seem to be completely derailing all the progress made by giving into this complete and total, may I say almost profound, need to goad each other and push buttons that are SO SENSITIVE that the whole damn thing breaks and they wonder how on earth it happened. And also. The sensitive buttons. MY GOD THE SENSITIVE BUTTONS. Cue "Mad World." Cue Sad Montage. End Scene.

Once I've gotten the necessary medical shit worked out and made sure I'm not secretly batshit crazy and this is all something I've cooked up in my head, lets get a burger. If you're up for it.

It's as though you've known us all our lives.

Why would you think you're crazy?

I've been around a while.

I was on a mission. And now I'm in a weird alt universe where no one knows me but I know all of them. That's prime 'someone is messing with your head' business right there.

James knows you, correct? And Danvers, Drew. You're all from the same world.

Yes, but once you've had your mind messed with, and you wind up in a situation like this, it's not too easy to just go with it.
