[Quicklog: Louis, Peggy, and the Abandoned Subway Station]
[Peggy stood at the edge of the platform, looking down into the black-filled archway. Exhaust, old stone, tar and pavement made up most of the burnt-metal miasma of the New York Underground. It was dirtier and more confusing than the London Underground, which was saying something, as in Peggy's memory the London Underground was more of a bomb shelter than anything else. She came to the edge of the platform, standing on the wrong side of the construction barrier, and watched. She watched almost without blinking, a vigil that came to an end approximately two minutes later.
A single, blue-white electric blip of light.
It was a regular light, which she discovered after a solid five minutes of standing there, and it was after establishing a pattern that she confidently stepped down off the platform largely hidden from the functioning side of the tracks and coincidentally non-functioning security cameras. A short walk later, she came to a dead-end, to the right of which was a metal door with no handle. A metal identification pad on the left side of the door answered a code she now possessed, but there was another metal identification pad on the opposite side--and it was out of reach. Very clever, really, as the existence of a simultaneous second lock would confound most spies and operatives, who worked alone.
She needed another pair of hands.
Peggy returned to the platform and stopped the first person she saw who looked the least bit presentable, a tired looking man with curly hair.]
Excuse me, sir. I find myself in need of assistance, if you can spare me two minutes before your next train.
