I think I'm okay. I know what caused it and as long as I don't go near that line again, I should be good. It was a lot easier, when I knew I was a green little bat.

To be fair, this Damian isn't the same he had known for such a long time. [Blink.] And Jason's not exactly the easiest to talk to. [Blink.] I'm sure they'll all get there, though. No pesky rogues to get in the way of family bonding.

I'm sorry your family is disjointed. It should get better. Just wait for a rogue to show up and threaten to destroy Gotham. You'll all be back to normal. [Blink.] Ah, Selina and I are never going to see it that way. Perhaps we didn't cause the problems, but us being around won't solve anything.

In some aspects, it was. You've gotta admit that. [Blink.] That's fair enough. You need to do what's best for you. But, also know that at least Bruce and I are here. No matter what.

It's no one's fault but our own, really. [A long pause.] Most days I don't even know if I have the right to call them my family, you know? They've all got that desperation for Bruce to be a patriarchal, militant leader because they were all raised by him. Maybe I'm the one that's knocking things off the axis. [Blink, quickly:] It's all circumstantial. I guess. It's got nothing to do with any of us. Especially with you and Selina. You know that, right? Maybe if this happened in another Gotham, with another family [...] things would be different.
