I thought perhaps we could get together sometime. You, me, the little ones? Just make acquaintances if I need some help with Matthew.

I'm really glad to hear that. She was one of the first people I met when I came here, y'know.

No. Not that. I just feel bad that others had to suffer. It makes my small annoyances pretty small in comparison.

But doesn't it seem silly to get upset over minor things? Like you should put it in perspective? Yes, I may have slipped in the kitchen and sprained my wrist, but at least my city wasn't blown up?

Oh, I talk to plenty. But talking with my son and asking how people are doing and if they want another pint or another basket of wings isn't the most fulfilling conversation.

And? I've been managing a pub since I got out of college. It belonged to my late husband's family. I've tried really hard not to rely on my family's money. It doesn't feel right, just taking and taking. I like to work. I like to know that I've done this on my own, without their help.
