You don't happen to have a show on Tuesday, do you?

I do, actually. It's a wedding reception. Pays good money even if it's not artistically credible. Want to come and have free food?

A wedding! That's lovely. Wait, on Tuesday? Some couple didn't want certain other people to be able to make it. I never turn down free food. And do I have to dance?

I don't think people here have any concept of days.

Dancing seems like the polite thing to do.

Or the reception hall was more affordable during the week?

Fine, I'll dance, but it won't be pretty.

[...] Would you mind terribly if I stayed with you that night?

Probably. Do you know what they're first dance song is? It's terrible. I feel bad for thinking it's terrible.

Dad didn't show you the lawnmower for nothing.

[...] No, of course not. Are you sure you want to stay in Gotham?

You might be justified in that opinion. What is it? Your Love?

I don't know if it was to wow wedding guests in Gotham, but if not, then what?

Yes. I am supposed to meet someone on Wednesday. I thought it would be nice to spend time with you. And I want to see Gotham.

Close. Loving You.

Make our parents proud.

Good, I've been spying on my neighbors recently and illegally feeding pigeons on the rooftop. I hope that's enough excitement. [...] Who [...] are you meeting up with?

No. Please. You have to be joking.

Is feeding pigeons illegal? That sounds like a great night. My sort of excitement. [...] You know that dream thing that wasn't a dream?

They want someone to use a bird whistle to simulate the beginning of the track.

It is. I could be kicked out of the building. [...] Sure, Mikey told me about it.

I'm not going to miss this for the world.

That's against building rules. Not illegal! They'd give you a warning first. [...] Oh. [...] It didn't happen to you?

If you make me laugh, I'll kill you.

Gotham is serious business. They'd kick me out and kill the birds. [...] No. I was jealous everyone else got to go [....] so I pretended.

Me? I didn't request the bird whistle! I will not be held responsible.

It can't be that bad. Those pigeons didn't hurt anyone.

[...] I'm sorry. From what I gather, not everyone had a night to be jealous of. I [...] thought you'd have been a wave on the beach.

I'll need to put blinders on.

I know. And, they're really sweet. Everyone around here calls them rats with wings.

Yes, it looks like some terrible things happened. [...] Maybe I'd be too comfortable with it. [...] What happened with you?

That won't help with the snickering sounds.

Rats are really sweet, too. They don't mean it that way, do they?

There was a crime scene and I was dead but I wound up talking to a man about faith and the unknown. Nothing terribly out of the ordinary.

I'll make sure someone locks you outside before I start playing.

No. I don't think they'd give rats a chance either.

That doesn't sound as fantastical as some of the other things I've seen.

I'll make sure to bring my own bird whistle then.

And you still want to live there?

No. But to the point. I'm going to be meeting up with him.

That's not a bad idea. It'll be like when I made you play the triangle for me when we were growing up.

Well, no one else is going to feed the birds. Maybe if I show they're pretty harmless I can change the building manager's mind. Get a nice coop up there.

My worried older brother senses are kicking in.

I loved the triangle! It was hard to mess up.

How often does he go up to the roof? Maybe get the coop going first to show just how little damage it does?

You have nothing to worry about. Trust me.

You know, the bird call isn't much harder.

Not a bad idea. If I keep the area clean, he might actually like it. [....] Don't know the first thing about building a coop though.

You sure? [...] Is it a [...] date?

If it's like a kazoo, I'm on board.

I don't either. I can always look it up. I'm no good with tools, but I can come up with dimensions!

I've never been so sure about anything. And, no. No. Not at all. I think we're just finishing our conversation?

Oh? Who? Wait-no don't. She deserves her privacy. Especially if she's depressed. But it's good that you're talking to her. You've always known just what to say. At least, I think so. [...] I'm not becoming a vigilante! And I still think we need to look for Raph. If he got here first, he might have ignored the journal and gone rogue.

Maybe it's Gotham. It's like Seattle. It's gloomy and dark and some people can get sucked in by the atmosphere. The difference is that back home, we get those summers when the sunshine never ends. We get a break from it. I don't think Gotham does.

[...] Well, I didn't really believe it until you agreed. He could be hurt, but he's so tough it wouldn't hold him down for long. Honestly, he's probably still back home. I'm sure he would have said something by now. Unless he's being all moody. [...] And if he was in Gotham, he'd be pretty moody. Oh no.
