It was better than remaining in the Avengers Mansion without everyone - except for her son and the boy staying with him. Her lips pulled tight across her teeth before she forced them to relax into a smile. "I'm glad I am too. And if Charles returns, we'll be the first to know." That was - that was better. It made her cheeks feel less pained.
"This would be it. I hope no one's taken it." But the room didn't look lived in, only like one of the many rooms around the mansion that hadn't been filled (yet) by a person, only with generic things. "Shall we check the drawers and closets just to make sure?" And though her mouth couldn't quite frame the tease, there was a playful lilt in her words to show it.
