Together, they visited many important events in time, met people and creatures from all walks of life, and had adventures worth telling stories about. And though the face of her Doctor changed from time to time, he was still hers, and she was happy to travel throughout space and time. And then, one day, her Doctor was gone. How he disappeared, she did not know. He just vanished. Distraught, the TARDIS began to travel through space and time, searching for him. But no matter how hard she looked, she could not find him. So, she decided to use her powers in different ways. She began to pull people inside of her, hoping that one of them might be her Doctor. But none of them were her Doctor. In fact, she began to pull people from different universes, universes with no Doctor at all. And the people that she has pulled that know the Doctor, none of them seem to know her Doctor. Even the ones that are the Doctor themselves. None of them are her. So the TARDIS travels, to different times, universes, and worlds, searching for her Doctor. The people that she pulls from other universes are free to roam the TARDIS as they please, and explore these new times and universes, and face the challenges that come with them. Connected to the mainland by a two lane bridge, Phoenix Cove was settled in the mid 1800s, by individuals looking to start over after the Civil War. Due to desire to see the Nation, live and rise again, these settlers named the island, Phoenix Cove, after the mythical bird known for rising from the ashes. With its long-standing history, it isn't uncommon to find families that have been on the island for over a century. The original industry that supported the Phoenix Cove economy, was of course lobster fishing, as with most of coastal Maine. However, over time the area has transformed from a small fishing village to a fairly urban area. That isn't to say the waters around the island are quiet now, though. They have simply become more popular for recreational use than industry. The shore is often lined with pleasure cruises, whale watches, small yachts and party boats. Though small, Phoenix Cove offers everything you might need. A beautiful tourist destination, the island supports, two bars, several restaurants, a beautiful B&B, salon, shopping and an art gallery as well as gorgeous beaches. For our full time residents, Phoenix Cove offers a library, schools, vet clinic, a hospital, grocery stores and more. While each establishment is small and locally owned, all your needs will be met, with friendly service by pleasant locals. But he never showed up. In fact, his entire fleet was decimated and the Infinity Stones themselves seem to be disappearing from the universe. So, what happened? Two months before the Battle of Wakanda, mysterious portals had begun appearing with strangers (Newcomers) from other timelines and universes coming through. After discovering this, Tony Stark was able to re-route the phenomena to only appear at the Avenger’s Facility, where he and the rest of the Avengers of this world could help the Newcomers adjust and protect them. It was only a matter of time before things started going to hell. Eventually, the Avengers learned about Thanos and the Infinity Stones, but they discovered what happened to his fleet and that the stones were disappearing. There was no Blip (Snap), but strange things are now happening across the universe and on Earth. With every stone that disappears, things only get worse. Newcomers who come through can’t willingly go back. Some disappear mysteriously, others are trapped in this world. Portals open to other places, people can visit other worlds, but sometimes at a cost (loss of power, or complete physical transformation). Even the Council of Mages was abolished. For a few thousand years, as chaos ensued and the world fell further and further into dystopia, a few hopeful people tried unsuccessfully to turn back the tide. Until one day in 3517, a young apprentice mage - hoping to safeguard the future of makind - led as many innocents as she could to a previously undiscovered underground cave and, a year later - in 3518 - attempted to open an outgoing portal to a parallel world, with the intention of bringing them all back when it was safe. But, due to her youthful inexperience, the mage's spell went wrong and, instead of creating a portal, she created several one way time slips, bringing people from different realities and time periods into her world, and trapping the cave and everyone in it - including those who come through the time slips - inside a time bubble that keeps them in 3518, where they have remained and thrived, ageless, for the last century and a half in real time. Upon arrival everyone is provided a cellphone, laptop, a small amount of money to get them started so they can find work, and keys to a home where they can set up residence.
