A hand shot up to cover her mouth the very instant Derek closed his eyes and laughingly voiced to her unspoken request. Shameless as she was, she at least had the decency to try and hide the smirk that had broken past her momentarily poor excuse for a resolve. And as he rightfully called her on it, Janice allowed herself to muffle a laugh against his kiss, only to then fall back against the bed in a dramatic fashion. "I know! I don't deserve such an amazing and wonderful husband whose ass I could bounce a quarter off of," his wife declared, feigning a pout as her eyes lingered on him while he walked over to the chair and back. "I feel so ashamed of myself. I really do. I—" the phone was then placed in her grasp, and just like that, she smiled, "—I'm fine now."
Janice waited briefly for the mattress to settle after he had flopped down onto it and then rolled over so that her body laid against his side. "Thank you, my love," she cooed as she lifted her head to press a kiss to his lips and gave a soft smile when he asked what her phone was for. "Well, you asked a question; I want to help you find the answer," she stated simply before placing one more kiss on his shoulder. Without another word, Janice turned on the screen and was greeted with the series of texts they had sent each other earlier that day, the sight of which drew a bright smile to her illuminated face. A couple of taps of her thumb later, and another text was sent to him:

"Okay... Pregnancy tests, pregnancy tests..." Janice mumbled quietly to herself, spending a few moments to allow her eyes to dart across the screen. "It looks like most tests are designed to be taken at least a week after a missed period. So with that in mind, it sounds like we could probably start taking them in about three or four weeks. There you go." And with that, the screen was turned off again, and the device was promptly tossed onto the pillow behind her head; she was done with the distraction and wanted to give her husband the attention he deserved. "All right, big guy, now I have a question for you," Janice began as she rested her head on his shoulder, a little smile playing on her features. "How many kids can you see us having?"
