"I don't know if I like it," Judith admitted, shrugging a little, without looking at him. She liked Derek, genuinely. She wouldn't send Carl in as bait, so why should she send someone else? If Derek really wanted to do that, she'd take advantage of the opportunity and let him, but she sure as hell wasn't going to encourage it. Not when they didn't know for sure what creatures were spliced to create this particular chimera.
Derek's question didn't phase her. It wasn't that she'd intentionally been evasive so much as she just didn't talk about the team much unless there was a reason to. Now there was. "My brother today.
