hope my setting is okay since i'm not familiar with hers...?
If Stilinski had been on duty, this never would've happened. Derek's still more than a little salty about that, to be honest. He was all the way down to the warehouse district, literally fifty yards from the privacy of his own home and he hadn't even done anything wrong.
...getting arrested for indecent exposure as a stupid goddamned reason to be sitting in a jail cell in Beacon Hills sheriff's department covered in a blanket and waiting for the sheriff's damn kid to show up with clothes that inevitably would not fit. Once Stilinski got back from wherever he'd gone off chasing some probable small time criminal, he'd let Derek out, Derek was confident, but God only knew how long that would be.
So maybe the fact that he felt stupid as hell and resented the idiot cops who couldn't be bothered to take into consideration that the whole lot on which they'd apprehended him was his property had a little bit to do with the smug, amused grin that crossed his lips when he saw how banged up they were as they approached to shove their next prisoner into the cell beside him. Five of them, one of her. She was either a supernatural or Stilinski needed to wipe out his idiot staff and start over. Derek hadn't resisted because he already had a record. She clearly put up a fight.
Once she was in the cell, he heard them instructing her to turn around so that they could uncuff her and Derek watched, amused. "What, do you want the left eye to match the right, man?" he teased the young deputy who barked a gruff, annoyed shut up in his direction. Derek held up both hands in defeat, laughing. "You do that all by yourself?" he asked, this time addressing the blonde woman.
