Judith smiled a little. A small part of her recognized that she wasn't really ready for their time spent together to be over, because she actually liked his company, but a larger part was just grateful for any connections he might have that could speed up the process. Judith didn't like people. She didn't try to make new friends and typically went out of her way to avoid the general public whenever possible, so it was harder to grapple with the idea that she actually liked being around this particular person. He reminded her a little of Carl, she supposed, with his dry humor and the easy way he fell into teasing her a little when the opportunity presented itself.
"Yeah, if you're feelin' all right to drive," she replied, nodding. "And I'd appreciate it. Y'all sort of have a network I'm not in, so the idea of gettin' a little on the inside like that is nice. It'd be real helpful, Derek, thanks."
