Once again, she shrugged. "Yeah, well I ain't college smart," she clarified. She didn't care, but her father did and she imagined if her mother was alive, she would, too. So Judith didn't necessarily feel disappointed by the fact that she wouldn't get into a college worth going to and she knew she'd struggle to the point of giving up, but she did feel like she was letting her parents down.
"Anyways, I don't think college would be for me. I'd get bored sittin' in a damn classroom all day every day. I know because I already do." And had for an extra year when she had to repeat the second grade because she still couldn't read at the proper level.
"What about you? You said you don't live here all the time no more, so where'd you end up, then?"
