Derek reluctantly handed over the keys. He wasn't going to try moving to the front seat since it would be harder to keep his leg straight up there. Relying on anyone was anathema to him, but he didn't have many other options at the moment and Judith seemed like a decent kid.
Being raised in a family full of werewolves meant he had no particular notions of femininity or how girls were supposed to act. His one foray into an actual relationship had ended in him having to kill the love of his life. Every other girl he dated after that ended up being psycho in some way.
"So, do you just wander town and look for people to rescue or something?" he asked.
