Jake gave speeches, it's what he did. Lately, though, his words weren't randomized questions, they were all focused onto one point he wanted to make. And sometimes - a lot - he did forget his point halfway through the speech. He wasn't sure he always continued talking, even after he forgot his point. Eva never told him to shut up, though. He liked that. Even better, she looked like she was listening too. "Okay, good," he confirmed, smiling. "Fighting would be harder without you." It was an off hand observation, but it was true. The hugging moment had probably passed, but Jake moved anyway. He had abandoned his attempt to control his speed and when he moved, it was slightly blurred. He was suddenly in front of Eva, and he wrapped his arms around her shoulders and hugged her close. They hadn't been hugging as much now as they had before. It felt like there was some kind of boundary there that he wasn't supposed to over step.
