Ever since he realized who she was, Preston had been nervous whenever they met. He was even more nervous now, seeing that her symptoms were very much the same that he, and many others, had experienced prior to their awakening. He wasn't sure how she'd feel about learning he was a student. He always wasn't sure how she'd wake up, or when? Would it be during class? Or would she just stop showing up? He hoped not the latter.
She'd had to cancel their last meeting, so when she confirmed with him that morning they still had their afternoon meeting, he was glad. He got there, right on time, as usual. He knocked on the door of her office and opened the door when she acknowledged him. He came in smiling, closing the door behind him and moving to the chair on the opposite side of her desk.
"Hey Professor. I'm glad you're feeling at least a little better. Well enough to talk to me for a few minutes, at least."
