Who: Hera, Iris, Zephyros, and Cerberus What: Hera and Iris Reunite. With Bodyguards. Where: Parador Rojo in Elizabeth, NJ. When: Wednesday, August 14th, Evening. Warnings: TBD
This night was one she should have been looking forward to. Two friends, sisters, or mother and daughter reuniting after so long. And she was, under all the nerves and the considerable danger it placed all involved in, she was looking forward to it. To see Iris again, Hera thought, would make her feel just a little bit more like herself. As she began to surround herself with her old companions and family, she felt the strength of the skies begin to return to her. Not her abilities, per se, but to her backbone. She stood taller. She was Hera. And Hera needed a messenger. Hera needed Iris.
A Columbian restaurant was not how she'd imagined them meeting again, though. Somewhere beautiful in Greece, on the seashore, or a river's edge, where they'd spent time together. But then, Hera thought, perhaps that was not a good choice. Those locations would evoke negative memories for Iris. Hera had not been the same person then that she was now. While she had been worshipped and been beloved, she hadn't been a good woman to so many. Much of her respect had come from fear. At the time, she hadn't understood the difference. She wanted to change that now.
As the car pulled up in front of the restaurant, she glanced aside to the young man who's demeanor hid so much of what he was. "I am glad you are here to sit with me. However, I must stress that no matter what happens to me, the young women I am meeting is to come to no harm." Hera was firm. "If they take me, you let her go free." Granted, Zeus would be pissed, but Hera knew that for the Olympians to begin to have any kind of power or leverage, they couldn't strike first. "This is vital to me. I don't expect anything to happen, but she must come to no harm."
