Who: Klaus and Alex
When: After their conversation on the network.
What: Meeting up. A "tour".
Where: Outside the apartments to start.
Rating: TBD
Status: Closed; Complete

This sudden turn of events was far from being in Klaus's game plan. But, really, being transferred to a place where their were zombies and men who did not know about Earth were hardly in anyone's game play, wouldn't you say? Regardless, Klaus had not survived for centuries without being a tad adaptable to random shifts in his very long life. Besides, he was a hybrid, part vampire, part werewolf, and pretty much invincible when it came to most human weaponry and even most supernatural things. Hence, he truly had no fear, not even of zombies and whatever else could be lingering in his strange, rather apocalyptic world. Though, it didn't mean he wanted to stay for any length of time. He had things to do at home, doppelgangers to make human, and blood to drain for his never ceasing desire for more hybrids. As much fun as this place appeared to be, as dangerous and deadly, he really had to be going. Hopefully, with the help of that "man-witch" or whatever, he very well could be out of here within a few days, weeks at the latest. Of course, he'd be bringing Miss. Gilbert with him and because she'd refuse to go without Caroline, he'd bring the blond as well though, it was hardly because Elena would insist on her friend's safety. Klaus had made it clear what his feelings for the young woman was before coming here, but he knew it was quite obvious, from the constant use and abuse of such affection. Still, he simply couldn't turn it off, could he?

Still, despite her warnings, Klaus had chosen to ignore Caroline tonight and venture out with the beautiful, ravishing, Alex. Though he had only spoken to her through the network, she appeared to have a good head on her shoulders and well, she was beautiful. Besides, during his stay here, he needed someone to help him. To be on his side. A fly on the wall so to speak and Alex could certainly fill the role easily. It was so hard to find anyone with any brains nowadays and well, her beauty was just an added bonus wasn't it? On top of that, it pissed off Caroline and he rather enjoyed her anger and frustration. It was cute. Truthfully, he had no feelings for this Alex, but that didn't mean he couldn't have a little fun. And he never did anything without a reason. She could be useful.

Currently, the Original vampire lingered outside the apartment building. His shoulder propped against the brick wall. Eagerly, he watched the doorway, awaiting the arrival of the brunette and perhaps something more. He wasn't particularly hungry, but if he did become so, compulsion would clean up any mess he happen to make. "Come on darling. Don't leave me hanging," he purred, blue eyes focused on the door. He could hear heart beats inside the walls. One of them was surely hers. Perhaps the one beating ever faster as she descended the stairs? A small smirk played on his lips and he hurried forward, to catch the door just as she appeared.

Alex probably should have been more wary of meeting up with someone she didn't know. But she figured that if he was any kind of threat, she could take him down. She was used to people underestimating her. Most of them took one look at her and thought she was some mousy little girl. That was definitely not the case. Alex was a lot tougher than most people, she had to be. That was how she had survived this long, and she'd continued to survive. And she was going to survive this too. So many people were dead here now, and it had to weigh heavily on the minds of everyone.

Alex hadn't known any of them, not really. She'd started to become friendly with Laurel so she was sorry she was gone now, but Alex had been kind of a loner. When she first got here she was dealing with going through withdrawal and that had been something she needed to do on her own. It had been horrible and she'd probably very nearly died several times. But Alex was strong, and she was a fighter, and once again she'd beaten her addiction...at least for now. She was sorry they'd lost so many people though, it didn't speak well for their chances. So many people that had been alive just days ago were gone now. It wasn't right or fair, but that was life and she'd been taught many years ago that life was not fair.

Alex was far from stupid and she knew well that people didn't always have the best intentions, she had learned that the hard way when she was just a child. So she was armed, just in case. She wanted to believe that this Klaus guy was alright but the blonde girl made him seem a bit like a stalker ex or something. It never hurt to be cautious. Alex would try to help him though, because Nikita would have. And even if she didn't have the same mission here, she needed to focus on something. She was determined to survive this. And to really survive, they'd have to work together.

She came down the steps, rather quickly, so her heart was pounding a bit. The drugs she'd been taking prior to her arrival had messed with her quite a bit. But she was sure it would fade. And just as she opened the door, there was Klaus. That was...slightly creepy, if nothing else.

And he was right. The beautiful brunette appeared at the door just as his hand dropped to the door handle, fingers wrapping around it, and in one smooth, fluid motion he swung it open, allowing her easy, if not, gracious passage from the shabby apartment building they had no choice in, but to call home. Klaus had yet to check out his own quarters within the building. Since arriving, the hybrid had kept mostly to the outside world despite the ever present danger of the undead lurking around every corner. Plus, the air was putrid, heavy with the scent of rotting flesh and coppery blood. It was all impossible for him to block out with his duel, powerful and exceptional senses. He was sure it bothered Elena and Caroline so much more. While he was used to death, the heavy scent it carried, and the pollution, he knew Elena was a new vampire and her blood lust would take time to gain control over. It would simply bother the blond vampire because she was still very much human though she possessed exceptional control for someone under the influence of vampirism who was still so young.

Klaus offered the young woman his most charming, disarming smile and held out an elbow for her to take. Though times had obviously changed from those centuries of galentry and manly politeness, Klaus found women still could be easily wooed by invoking the exact same old-fashion pleasantries of the past. An offered elbow like he held out currently for Alex or a kiss to the knuckles, was surprising, shocking, and left modern women rather at a loss as to what to say or do in return. They were not use to men being sweet, kind, humbled by their presence. No, the females of today were used to men taking them for granted or simply grunting out a lude phrase or two to try and get in their pants. Klaus's approach was disarming, different, and while he might have had the same intentions, the way he went about it almost always ensured, even without the use of compulsion, that he would get the exact same result.

"Hello, love", he greeted softly and moved, slipping her hand easily into the dip in his elbow, wrapping her slender, fingers around the muscle concealed beneath the cloth. "How are you tonight, darling? I know it is rather a sad, tragic place for a birthday. If we were at home, I'd be inclined to throw you something more...fun. Beautiful. More worthy of such a happy, coming of age," he continued with a small smile. "Perhaps when we return, you will allow me to do you such an honor. I promise it would be no bother..." Despite her claimed shooting skills, the Original kept her close, but not tightly. If she wished to pull away, she could and he would not make her stay, but he hoped she truly didn't. For some, it took longer to sweep off their feet, but they fell eventually. Always.

Alex was not like most girls, and Klaus would probably figure that out quickly. Most people had never seen their father murdered before their eyes. Most people had never been sold into slavery. Alex could never be expected to react the way to a situation in the same way most people would. Her young life had been filled with tragedy. And yet, she carried on. She'd survived so much and she was not going to die here like all of those others had. She was smart and determined. Many of them had probably been too, maybe it was just bad luck that had ended their lives so soon...but Alex would fight like hell to make sure that never happened to her.

Klaus was charming, maybe almost too charming. Alex didn't really know what he was after with her, but it wasn't going to be like he might have expected. Charm would only go so far with her, and she was basically playing along at the moment to find out what he was up to. It presently occurred to her that Klaus might be more dangerous then he'd let on, but she felt confident she could take care of it if he did become a problem. There was definitely something different about him, though she wasn't able to place it at the moment. So for now, Alex let Klaus have her take his arm while they walked. She was curious to see just what the man was up to, or hoping would come from this encounter. So she stayed close to him, as they started to walk away from the apartments.

"It's really just another day." And the day after, today had been overwhelming with tragedy, for all of them. Alex wasn't even used to anyone wanting to do anything for her birthday. It hadn't even meant anything to her in such a long time. In Alex's mind, sometimes it was a miracle just to make it to her next birthday. And she'd always felt older than her years. She'd had to grow up fast after losing her father, and especially after being sold to Vlad. Even before that, her childhood had never been exactly normal. She decided a change in subject would probably be for the best. "One thing I can tell you, being out here alone is practically suicide." Unless he could handle a weapon. "Do you have any gun training or anything like that?" She could show him, if he didn't.

"See, that right there tells me that no one has ever thrown you a birthday party before, darling. No one has ever made you feel special", he replied, a note of perfectly feigned sadness in his tone. "That's too bad. Because you are special, Alex. It's only a shame you can't see it." He paused, perfect timing as always, and turned to face her. Gently, withdrawing his arm in only favor of putting both hands upon the young woman's slender shoulders. A finger swept under her chin, lightly urging her face up to look at him, locking her unknowing gaze with his own more powerful, persuasive one. "You are different, Alexandra. I don't choose unspecial people to be in my life. To help me..." He trailed off.

As he invoked his compulsion, his pupils dilated with perfect timing. With no vervain to protect her system and no training to combat compulsion-she didn't even have witches where she was from after all-he knew she would fall easily to his whims. Hands moved to cup her face, thumb stroking the smooth, warm cheeks and he leaned in, so close that he could feel every exhale of her breath upon his cold, dead face. "I want you to help me, love. With anything I ask, no matter what. You trust me explicitly. Without fear. You know I would never hurt you. Do you understand my dear?" His cool fingers brushed the soft skin, slipping into her long brown hair and tucking the strands behind her ear delicately.

It was amazing; Klaus was a murderous monster. He was a complete and utter killer without remorse, without regret, and without sadness. He killed, as he had told Stefan, because of loneliness. When he killed, he felt a connection,a moment where he was truly not alone because he held the lives of his victims in his hands. For the briefest of seconds, he was not alone, but then, they were dead, gone, and he was once more isolated. It was that loneliness he had seen in Stefan and perhaps that was why, for a time, he had believed they could be brothers. Now, of course, that time had gone, but he still believed it to be true. Looking at Alex, knowing full well he held her life in his hands as well as her self-control, he felt that connection again. As if, perhaps, he was not so utterly alone in this world.

"You trust me, don't you, love?"

Alex hadn't had a clue what he was doing as he rambled on about how he was special. He was very strange, there was no denying that. And he was doiing something strange to her right now. And she didn't know what it was, but she wasn't afraid of him. It was the weirdest thing but though they'd just met, she trusted him. And Alex didn't trust just anyone. It was never something that came easy to the girl anymore, given all she'd been through. She was completely unaware that she was being compelled. It never occured to her. All Alex knew was that she was supposed to help him. She wanted to help him, even.

Under normal circumstances, Alex would have jerked away from anyone touching her like this a long time ago. She had spent a lot of time being so badly abused that normal was something she'd never be again. Not many little girls were sold as sex slaves. That dark part of her life had taken it's toll on the young girl before him. But she didn't pull away from Klaus in any manner. Being this close to him like this, didn't send panic through her like it might if it were some other stranger. She was under his thrall truly and completely, and when he asked if she understood...she nodded.

She could never be fully aware of what had just happened to her because that was the way that the compuslion worked. And vampires and the like didn't exist where she was from. She wouldn't have known how to fight one if she tried. All the young woman knew now was that she trusted Klaus. And that she would do whatever he asked her to. She didn't even really know why that was, but she wanted to do it.

"Yes, of course." Alex said, nodding again, her blue eyes still fixed on his.

"Good girl", he replied softly, almost tenderly as if truly addressing a lover, confidante, and not some poor woman he had just completely taken advantage of unfairly. The charming, rather disarming took up residence on his face once more and he let his hand drop, finding her own and he gently, but firmly took it up in his. As if to add insult to injury, he intertwined their fingers, but it was an unnecessary lock. Alex was compelled. If he told her to shoot herself with her own gun, walk off a cliff, or kiss him right now, she would and she would like it. She die not even knowing why or when she decided too. She'd only know he told her too and that was enough.

"Now-" he looked at her again, keeping his eyes firmly locked on her own; the smile still on his face, but his voice dropped an octave into a soft tone. "Tell me about yourself Alex. Tell me everything. Even things you wouldn't tell other people. You can trust me. You know you can..."Klaus purred, pressing his cool lips against her ear. "I won't tell anyone." He placed a gentle kiss to the soft lobe and pulled back slowly. "And then I'll show you my little secret, darling."

Alex didn't even think anything of what he was doing, or how close he was to her. She would have if it were nearly anyone else, but she trusted Klaus. She didn't quite know why that was, but she did. She didn't pull away, even though this kind of contact would normally make her very uncomfortable at best. And she night have even gone into attack mode. But she had no thoughts nor desire to do so, at the moment. It just felt natural to let him be so close like this.

Klaus wanted to know about her, things that most people didn't. Well this was going to be quite the tale. And Alex wasn't even sure why she was about to tell him, but she honestly was unable to stop herself. "My name is Alexandra Udinov, and I was born in Russia in 1992. My father taught me many survival techniques and made me practice my english so I could get by. He was murdered when I was 13 years old, and my house was set on fire. But I was saved." She paused. This was not an easy subject for her, but she had to tell him everything...she simply couldn't help it. "The woman who saved me trusted the wrong person and I was...sold into slavery and brought to the states. My captors hooked me on drugs to keep me compliant, and even after I escaped them...I couldn't escape the drugs. Eventually the woman, Nikita found me again and she told me about the black ops program called Divsion that was responsible for the death of my father. I thought my mother had been killed too, but later I found out that she was alive. I wanted revenge for what happened to them. Nikita didn't want me to be a part of it, so I tried to kill myself in front of her, only then did she let me in. She spent months training me and I infiltrated Division to help her take them down." And things had gotten so complicated. "Later I learned that she had been the one who killed my father. I couldn't trust her anymore and I wanted to go after Sergei Semak who had been the one who ordered the hit on my father so he could gain control of Zetrov, my father's company. He wanted to Americanize it. It was in my pursuit of Semak that I learned that my mother was still alive. She was with him." The thought still made Alex sick, knowing her mother could be with someone like that. "She'd thought I was dead, everyone did. But I revealed myself to the world at a press conference, in an effort to get Sergei to let my mother go. He'd been drugging her or something. Eventually Sergei was killed and I was able to get my mother somewhere safe, and I haven't seen her since." And she probably never would again, she knew that. "Since then, we've gained control of Division and turned it around, working on cleaning up their mess before we shut it down for good." That was the plan, anyway. "And recently beore I came here, I was shot. And so I started using pain pills..." She let her voice trail off for a moment, still not aware of why she was telling him all of this. "The withdrawal was pretty bad." She admitted. This was so strange. She never would have told anyone all of this, but she was telling him.

Klaus merely took up her hand, letting the warmth from the living, breathing being beside him flood his own cold fingers and palm. An octave below her voice, Klaus could make out the dull pounding of her pulse in his ears. It was slower than before, calm, and her heart rate was a mere rhythmic pitter-patter against her chest. Compulsion did work wonders for nerves, didn’t it? Prior to the moment he looked in her eyes and told her to trust him implicitly, Alex had been tense and unease around the hybrid (as she should have been), but one glance, one look into his blue eyes and she was far from the scared, wearisome creature she’d previously been. In fact, seconds after his request, the brunette started talking, spilling out her life story to the hybrid as if they were best friends, intimate companions that had known each other their entire lives instead of random strangers pulled to a foreign land. It was easy, too easy, Klaus idly pondered why else humans existed other than to be manipulated and used by vampires and other supernatural beings who walked the Earth.

Her story was far from boring, rather dramatic and tragic, and he was entertained for a precious few moments as she spoke. Again, no hesitation in her tone, no fear or regret, but only fluid, easy statements came from Alex now. Fascinated, he listened intently, taking in everything with an occasional nod. Sold into the sex trade? How horrible for such a child and yet she had recovered well, stood strongly despite the drug addiction and betrayal by her most trusted ally. Klaus had no allies because as he told Stefan “ …I trust no one” and it was the truth. Perhaps he had more in common with this little human than he thought? Or perhaps he was that in need of companionship. Regardless, he now knew everything about Alexandra Udinov, including her little and rather sudden addiction to pain pills. Fascinating.

Klaus knew that some humans, if possessing an already powerful addiction to some human substances, like cocaine or alcohol, could easily be under the same state of influence when fed blood or ingesting blood from a vampire. They used the substance, all it's magical properties and such, to get high. It was potent and because of what he was, Klaus knew his blood was much more potent and strong than any normal vampire's blood. One taste and surly, this girl who only knew addiction would be completely hooked. A wicked grin formed on his lips and the hybrid suddenly stopped and pulled the young woman to a halt beside him. "I can make the pain stop. The withdrawal. Would you like to know how, Alexandra?"

She could hardly believe that she'd laid out her whole sad story for him like that. If it had been anyone else, there was no way Alex would have bared that way. She was too cautious and guarded for that. But yet, it had all come out for him. Because he was Klaus, and she trusted him, even if she didn't know why she did. Her brain didn't even question it. And she knew she would blindly follow him or do whatever he wanted her to. It didn't matter why, it just mattered that she would do it without question. In some manner, her life was no longer her own, though she might not have completely recognized that yet. Whatever it was...it felt natural.

She stopped with him, she wouldn't have had much of a choice in any case. He was very strong, stronger than she could even dream of being. She didn't know what he was talking about, but she was interested in what he was talking about. The pain wasn't so bad now, but there really was no telling what the drugs had actually done to her body. It was an experimental drug that had been designed for those in military combat. She just couldn't stand to not be out there, to not be fighting. She had to keep herself busy. Being alone with her thoughts was very dangerous for a girl like Alex.

She noted the use of her formal name, and nodded. She was not used to hearing it much anymore. But Klaus seemed to be the formal type, that was pretty obvious upon meeting him. It didn't even occur to her that he might be up to something bad with this, because she trusted him. "Yes, how can it stop?" It wa a pitch she'd heard before. The drugs had been a crutch to help her to deal with some of the terrible things that had happened to her. But Klaus seemed different than any of those dealers.

Klaus's charming smile crept upon his lips once more at the eagerness in her voice. Ah, yes, there was the drug hound, the addict and junkie he knew existed somewhere inside her. With one mention of taking away the pain, elevating the damage, her eyes were shiny, needy with want and desire. Perhaps a lesser man, a lesser monster would have felt bad for the temptation he presented before her, but Klaus thought nothing of it. Human beings were fun to play and toy with precisely because they were so vulnerable and so easily tempted. Alex was no different. She had an addiction and Klaus was going to feed it if only to watch her deteriorate before him into a wanting, begging, nothing at his feet.

"My blood, darling. It can heal any wound you possess. It is the most incredible elixir", he tucked a piece of stray hair behind her small ear. "You see love, I am not human. I am something much more extraordinary, different, and powerful. I am a hybrid. Vampire and werewolf." If he told her any of this outside of the realm of compulsion, she would have freaked, attacked him instantly or simply ranaway. However, compulsion made everything more accepting to humans and Alexandra was no exception despite her tested survival skills over and over again in this world.

"Do not be frightened. I would never hurt you, Alexandra", he continued in a quiet, soft voice. Fangs dropped easily into place and his face shifted, becoming monsterous, his eyes, coal black with tints of red. Leaning down, he pressed his teeth to his wrist, bitting down and breaking the skin. Blood bubbled to the surface and stained the pale skin. He held it out to her and offered her a encouraging smile. "Here. Try it. I promise it will take the pain away. You trust me, don't you?"

It was so tempting, and it would have been so easy. She knew that. But she also knew she had to stop thinking like a junkie. The sobolex had done...God knew what to her. She had to be stronger, to resist. She reacted well enough to him not being human though, she supposed. It didn't seem like a big deal when coupled with everything else about this place. She didn't know part of the reason she didn't fear it was due to his compulsion over her.

He was offering her his blood. And that was just so messed up. Deep down, somewhere, Alex knew that. But even so, she couldn't help being tempted. There really was no such thing as an ex-junkie was there? Amanda had told her that she would always want to use. But hybrid blood? That might be pushing it. No, it was pushing it. That was a line, she wasn't sure she could cross. He had changed into something dark and unnatural, and even if she wasn't so frightened of him...she wasn't sure she wanted to drink his blood.

She did trust him, but she wasn't sure she trusted herself. "I really shouldn't..." She told him, hesitantly. She was a little shaky about this. She didn't want to become addicted to something else, even if it did take the pain away.

Though most people could not refuse or fight compulsion, fear was a powerful motivator and he could see it in Alex’s pale blue eyes; she was frightened, intimidated by the sight of his bright red blood bubbling to the surface and possibly the sudden temptation to drink it. It was a futile attempt on her part, a mere waste of her puny human energy to fight him or the inner, powerful desire his blood sparked within her human body. Being an addict, she was already weak when it came to something that could help ease or escape the pain. It didn’t matter what the pain was and he was sure if it had been anything, but blood, she would have already accepted it without a bit of the hesitation she was showing him now. It didn’t matter. One look in his eyes and a few more words of reassurance and the brunette would have her mouth to the open wound, suckling it like a newborn child to mother’s breast.

“Alexandra, darling, it’s okay. I promise you. Come now, you trust me. You said so yourself-” he broke off, capturing her face in his hands and gently, but forcefully made her look into his eyes once more. “Now, drink the blood. It will make you feel better. I promise you. You want to heal, don’t you? Now, come on love.” His gaze shifted to the blood slowly trailing down the pale skin of his arm, a river of bright red and, using the fingers from his other hand, he dipped them in the wound. Lifting the stained digits up, he brushed them over her soft lips lightly. His fangs appeared briefly and sliced open his bottom lip. Leaning in, he gave her that charming smile once more. “I’m going to kiss you and you will not be afraid...anymore.” Leaning in, he pressed his bleeding mouth against her crimson one and kissed her hard.

Well, he had pretty much sealed the deal, then. There was nothing she could have done to resist him anyway, but compulsion was a very tricky thing. Alex didn't know why she trusted someone she barely knew, but she had spit her life story out to him like they were best friends mere moments ago. It didn't click with her that something was off. Her hesitation at drinking his blood would not last long. She probably would have had a much harder time processing the whole vampire hybrid thing, had she not trusted him so completely. It just seemed natural to obey him, and she didn't even question it. It was extremely strange behavior for a girl like her that was usually so cautious.

His words reassured her that everything would be okay, even through her fear and apprehension at doing this. Drinking blood definitely was not on the list of things Alex ever thought she'd be doing, but she did want to heal. And she wanted to stop going through withdrawal and whatever those drugs had done to her, she didn't know. She didn't pull away from him, or even move as he smeared the blood across her lips, and kissed her. She wasn't even that stunned, but probably because he'd said he was going to do it. Normally Alex would have fought or been running, but with Klaus it was different.

Slowly, he pulled back and licked the remnants of his own blood from his lips. The charming smile returning to his face and he tucked a strand of wavy brown hair behind the young woman’s ear. “See? It was not so bad, was it love? I told you that you can trust me. You can always trust me”, he purred.”I will never hurt you.” It was a lie, but under his spell, his hypnotic gaze, there was no way for her to fight or protest. All she could do was stand before him, his utter and complete puppet. It was fitting. Submission and slavery seemed to be the most natural human condition; her submitting to him, even under compulsion, so naturally was only further proof of their true stance as below those with more power, those of the supernatural.

He lifted his arm again, the blood still staining the skin, and held up to her lips. “Come now, Alexandra”, he continued quietly. “I know you want a taste and it will make you feel so much better.” He could have pulled away, given her a chance to breathe, to digest what she had just done, but no. He wanted her to taste all the blood, not just a mere teaspoon of it from his lips. Klaus was in fact turning her into a junkie all over again. It was new for him, but not too unfamiliar. The sire bond was kind of having his own line of junkies, wasn’t it? They owed him their release from the pain of transition and much like Alexandra in front of him, they were bound by blood.

She did trust him, without any rhyme or reason as to why. It didn't really matter why. He was extremely charming, she had to give him that. This was hardly the first time that she had been in this kind of situation, even if the circumstances were very different this time. He was stronger than Vlad had been, and much more charismatic. And what he was offering was going to help her more than it would hurt her. She wouldn't have thought anything like that anyway, given the compulsion. She believed his lies. She simply could not help it.

She nodded, taking in a breath and then drinking the blood that was dripping from his wrist. It was probably one of the strangest things she'd ever done. And it was an addiction she didn't want, but yet...there seemed to be nothing she could do. She was completely under his thrall and charm. She knew she would have done anything he asked of her.

That charming smile, once so disarming and rather kind, mutated instantly upon the feel of her mouth on his skin. Warmth briefly spread over his arm, initiating rare goosebumps to fly across his pale flesh, and he reached out, gently stroking her hair with his other hand. She really was sweet and innocent, wasn’t she? It was not her fault she was human, that she had such a tragic history and depressing life back home. However, she must realize that such triumph over tragedy and pain made her a stronger person. With her personality, shaped by such hardship, she would make a strong vampire because she had the will and the experience of absolute survival under her belt. Of course, it came down to if he wanted to babysit a newly born vampire or not in this already strange world. More so, did he want to take her with him when he left this world? He surely won’t mind because under compulsion she was tranquil and easy enough to deal with. Complacent, really.

Slowly, he withdrew his arm from beneath her lips, the blood sucked clean from the skin and a pleased expression crossed his features. A good girl. Taking hold of her chin lightly, he tilted her head up and captured those crimson stained lips in his own in a powerful, rather dominating kiss. She was warm and alive in his arms. Her heart beat against his chest and the sound of her pulse, quick and rabbit-like, filled his ears. No doubt the bullet wound she had described to him had already started to stitch itself back together and heal. There wouldn’t be a scar either; vampire blood was rather miraculous that way, was it not?

His blood was better than any drug she'd ever had, and in one moment...she'd become a junkie again. There was no way she could have fought it. She didn't even want to fight it. She'd been through so much in her young life, and this was just another thing. She had no idea what he was thinking about right now, and that was a good thing. But even if she could, she wouldn't have been able to do anything. His compulsion over her was so strong. The blood making it's way through her system was amazing. She'd never felt this alive in her life. It was as if everything else in the world had melted away. All she could see was the blood. It was all she wanted.

Alex felt stronger than ever, and like she was practically invincible. If she'd been herself and thinking clearly, that might have frightened her. When he kissed her, she didn't push him away or try and fight it. Alex was so in the moment, that she was kissing him back. It was crazy, but she'd never felt like this before.

The change was instant. Once he released her from the powerful kiss, the light in her eyes, the increased size of her pupils, was dramatic. It was like she was high, but from a much safer substance perhaps than the drugs or pills she’d been hyped up on before. The only danger lay in the dealer himself and Klaus, being an evil bastard through and through, was going to make sure she paid for it in many creative ways. She had uses that went far beyond just her sexually attractive form and face. He was thinking of sending her in as a sort of spy in his favor, perhaps to be friends with Caroline and Elena, gathering intel about the two teenagers that he simply could not thanks to previous run-ins. Perhaps even use her against the man witch to figure out what he needed and where he was on his little trek to get them all back home safe and sound. There were multiple possibilities and Klaus was more than willing to exhaust every one of them to get what he wanted. The only problem lay in his rash, stubborn sister, Rebekah, but he knew, with the right words, the right persuasion, he might just be able to win her over to his side. She did want to go home after all, correct? The cure was her weakness; her desire to be human, her weakness and he’d use it against her to make sure she didn’t do anything dumb...like kill Elena Gilbert or Caroline Forbes.

“Good girl, darling”, he purred and leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. “See? I told you. You can trust me. I wouldn’t hurt you. Ever...” he trailed off, stepping back and cupping her face in his hands, gently urging her to look at him. “Now, how about you do something for me. Are you ready darling? Listening ears on and all?”

Alex's life was no longer her own, and somewhere inside, she knew that. She knew she would do anything that Klaus wanted her to. She had never felt anything like this before. It was the best high she'd ever had, and that should have scared her but it didn't. She trusted Klaus, and she was hardly thinking about what any of the side effects might be. She had allowed him to kiss her, and more than that...she'd kissed him. That was not normal behavior for her at all. But everything had changed now. She was completely under his control, and would do anything he asked of her without question or hesitation. She had no idea what he would ask of her, but it didn't matter. Her loyalties were now with Klaus and no one else.

Alex nodded, waiting for instructions on what he wanted her to do. She felt so incredible, so strong. She already knew she was addicted. She just couldn't help herself. She had given her life to him so completely, though unknown to her that was because of the compulsion. But she trusted him, and she didn't think he would make her do anything horrible.

Klaus looked extremely pleased with himself. Gently, he brushed a thumb across her lips, cleaning off the remnants of his blood from her mouth and sucking it off the digit. "Now, darling. I want you to do something that is very important. I need you to not tell anyone, and I mean anyone, about us. If anyone asks, say you hate me, refused me the tour, and don't want anything to do with me", he said softly. He kept his pale blue eyes focused on her own. "Next, I need you to befriend Caroline Forbes and Elena Gilbert. I know they will be eager to protect you from me so getting them to trust and keep you close should be very easy." Caroline had all, but made it simple for him to deduct when she told him, quite passionately, to stay away from Alex. No doubt she would eagerly step up and protect the girl, Elena too, if presented with such an opportunity.

"Listen to everything they say and take many mental notes, darling. Then, you'll report back to me in the early morning hours. I shall ring your device to let you know, alright?" he finished quietly. He placed a soft, delicate kiss, a gesture so unlike the murderer he was, on her pale forehead. "You do that and I will keep giving you all the blood you want, love." He stepped back and a slow, devious smile crossed his lips. He truly looked like the wolf had had always been. "Perhaps a few other favors too."
