Han was glad to have some of his energy back. It had been slow going for a while after his arrival here. He'd spent the first few hours resting and alternately shivering and sweating while trying to get his body to regulate its temperature properly again and trying not to throw up whatever chemicals were left inside him. Day by day, he'd improved, though it wasn't the kind of thing that got better overnight, much to his annoyance.
He'd tried not to worry Leia with everything, but couldn't stop himself waking up screaming a few times-the nightmares were annoying and they were less frequent now, though he wished they'd leave for good. He still had a web of scars and marks on his back from the scan grid, healing but unless some bacta showed up, rather permenant. His sight had improved over a few days, and was pretty much back to normal now.
The laser machines had felt a bit too much like home, but fighting had felt pretty good, and seeing Leia in action had felt good, too. He had gotten stir-crazy and bored with taking it easy-he never was a great patient, and Leia sometimes threatened to tie him down to keep him from trying to do too much too fast. It was good to be almost back to full strength, not just because he wanted to look out for Leia but for the other fun things they might get to now that he was able.
"All I gotta say is that I'm glad a bunch of stormtroopers didn't show up with those things. It was too close to home for my liking." He said. "But can I say it felt good? Taking it easy was getting too boring for my liking. The only reason it was bearable was the nurse I had." He offered her one of his smiles as they neared where they were staying, along the river. "And you did great, too. Nothing messes with you, princess, I'll say that."
