"He does need the assistance, doesn't he," she teased. Looking Ianto up and down, she noted the nice suit and it was clear that he was more into clothes than Shawn was. Whatever Shawn was into, this was big. She couldn't even begin to think what was wrong. Mafia? Criminals? Someone with a lot of money? She didn't know.
Smiling softly, she waited until Ianto stepped away and lowered her voice. "What do you expect, Shawn," she hissed. "You tell me you can't come home, can't, and not to come out here. I meant it. Henry is worried sick. So is your mother. Of course I'm going to come and investigate." Her eyes widened and she glared at him. "What the hell is going on!"
As Ianto returned, Juliet shook her head. "No, please stay. I was going to order another coffee. I would love to hear more about Shawn's new friend." She smiled warmly at Ianto. "If you wouldn't mind? There must be something about you if Shawn's willing to move all the way to Wales?"
She laughed, trying to play it off like nothing was wrong. "I mean... Don't you get cold here? Your country is beautiful, but it sure isn't California."
