"Luck, I think," she replied, feeling that he seemed to have accepted what she had told him reasonably well (from her point of view) and it was probably best to keep any more information she gave him as basic as she could. "There was an alert and I think something must have shorted on the door locks." Well, it was true enough, something had, the fact that what had caused it was the piece of tech she had hidden away, rather than it having anything anything to do with the alert was for her to know and him not to.
