He shook his head, the movement small, his face still mostly hidden against her shoulder. His eyes were still pressed closed, but he couldn't get himself to stop crying. He felt stupid. He wasn't supposed to act this way. He wasn't a little kid any more.
He didn't hate her. But he was angry at her. He was so angry at himself. It wasn't fair.
