Sam's eyes narrowed even farther when he discovered that the girl actually had the nerve to say that Dean deserved to be in his place, let alone in hell. Sam was just about to yell at her for disrespecting his brother when he noticed that Claire had moved down the steps. His eyes widened when he saw her punch the girl, and he felt one corner of his mouth tugging up in a bit of a smirk. Which grew even more when the girl scrambled to her feet.
"You bitch!" she shouted at Claire, and then took a step forward, when Sam joined Claire at the bottom of the stairs. "I swear to God you're going to regret this!" she shouted, turning like she was on fire and running away, cursing them both under her breath.
Sam turned to Claire, looking at her hand, head cocked in curiosity as he watched it heal itself. She said that she could do it, yes, but he hadn't seen it happen yet. He took her hand and laid it flat across his, looking at her and smiling. "That's definitely handy in situations like that," he said, leaving it at that and intertwining their fingers, clasping them together like they had been before.
"Thanks, by the way, for that. She had no idea what she was talking about and if anyone thinks my brother deserves this fate over me? They're out of their freaking mind," he said, leaning in and pressing a soft, quick kiss to her cheek. "And I'm pretty sure you're the only girl who's ever punched someone for me..." he added.
"Want to sit back down?" he asked her, nodding back to the steps.
