He did not know whether or not Heather knew that Gisborne was going to make his appearance. He sincerely hoped that that wasn't the case. She knew just how much he would dislike him being there. Pushing thoughts of the other man aside, he allowed himself to focus on nothing but Marian, and the words as Heather spoke them. Her choice had been perfect, and he was more grateful than ever that they had asked her to do this for them.
She met Heather's gaze when she spoke his name, and the words which signified the moment he would speak for the first time.
"I am," he answered as his eyes met Marian's again, his voice clear and calm despite the racing of his heart.
