She had seen him, step out. She hadn't fully grasped what he was about when he had asked her to leave that part of the speech in. As he had walked away from her she'd sworn to his back that if he screwed anything up she'd be the one he'd have to deal with. Her eyes narrowed on him daring him to protest, daring him to cause trouble. So much so that she had nearly missed him giving her away, and had definitely missed Robin's look. Though with that part done, as he took his seat as far from the gazebo as the seating allowed, she shook her head and that broad grin was back in place.
"The apostle Paul compared the relationship between husband and wife to that between Christ and the church. Marriage is a decision of two individuals to share the same type of pure, Christian love described by Paul.
In first Corinthians 13:4-8, Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails....
This kind of love enriches each part of life and marriage enriches love. Two lives, shared with this kind of love, can hold more fulfillment and happiness than either life alone."
She turned to her friend. They were getting close to the endall beall. The complete and utter joining.
"Robin. are you ready to enter into this marriage with Marian, believing the love you share and your faith in each other will endure all things?"
