He watched the interaction between Heather and Marian, suppressing a laugh at the excitable energy Heather seemed to have in abundance. The necklace that she placed around Marian's neck was lovely, and he could only imagine that it was another instance where she had spent more than she should have.
Once she got back to his side, he appraised her with a smirk. "I think you are more excited than the two of us combined," he teased quietly, though as the music started playing his gaze moved straight back to Marian. He did not recognise the tune, but he assumed it was a piece traditionally used at weddings (at least, after he and Marian's time), or Heather would not have picked it.
His gaze once again swung back to her for just a moment at the excited little noise she made. She was a source of unending amusement sometimes. As he watched Marian slowly approach, he tried to push down his impatience.
