Heather indicating where he should stand drew his gaze away from Marian, and he moved to the spot she indicated. He was rather amused by how precise she was being, but knew that this was important to her. He also knew just how much effort she had put in to this, and so would certainly not be arguing it. Doing as she had said, and looking at Marian in that way was not going to be a problem. He could not imagine looking anywhere else, in fact.
Once he was standing there, however, his gaze was squarely back on Marian. He could all but see the impatience written on her face, and was sure that was mirrored to some degree in his own expression. After so much waiting, and so many obstacles, they were finally here.
