Who: Pike and Claire
What: Meeting up to go to the movies - possibly some awkward talking about the aftermath of the whole 'truth serum' thing.
When: Tonight?
Where: From Claire's cabin to the movie theater.
Rating: TBD. Probably not too high.
For awhile, Claire had been worried. She figured Pike had needed his space after the whole confrontation at the repair bay, and she'd been right. So long being a solitary person and then having someone throw so much caring and concern at you was likely to be confusing - to say the least. She figured she'd let him sort out his mind, especially after the truth serum wore off and it was harder to deal with the consequences of what you'd revealed. She hadn't had much to reveal. She was pretty boring, compared to some of the others here, but she'd learned a lot about people and she knew that she still didn't want to just turn her back on Pike. She cared about him.
She'd figured that he'd contact her when he wanted to, but after a couple weeks, she decided that it was probably a better idea if she did the contacting. Part of her hoped that he wasn't just saying that he was okay - that she hadn't rushed him - but she was pretty sure that if he hadn't wanted to meet up, he wouldn't have agreed to it.
Fixing her shirt, smoothing it out subconsciously, she flipped the channel on the TV from whatever cheesy sitcom it was on and waited for him to come around. It was weird to say that she was getting used to things around here, but she actually was. It was a thousand times better than home, and had she not come here, she wouldn't have met Pike, Heather or any of the other good people she'd met here. She missed Chris and Leon a lot of the time, sure, but she was getting used to it. If not for the manager's constant meddling, she'd probably start to like it. Or maybe not like it, but at least appreciate it. If you'd asked her when she first got here if she'd feel that way, she'd have laughed at you. Funny how much things could change in such a short amount of time.
