Who: Anna and Robin
Where: The park
When: Some time after lunch
what: Katie and Aiden are already good friends
Any time he had Katie in his arms, he was reluctant to put her down again. Though he might not have been here when she was born, he could not feel more as though she were his daughter, and that he had now to make up for lost time. He was constantly torn on what to think. Was Anna right, and he was completely different? Or was Heather right, and he was not far from the Robin here before. Giving it any serious thought was near dizzying. So rather than contemplate it too much, he focused on enjoying what he had now. Peace, freedom, and a family with the woman he had always truly loved. Or for a long time, at any rate.
Marian had told him Katie enjoyed play time with Aiden, when she had earlier grown fussy. That they were already happy in each others company. She'd also told him where he'd be likely to find Anna and Aiden this time of day. And the closer they got, Katie's demeanour changed, and it wasn't hard to see this was the solution.
The only question remaining was Anna. He didn't know what to say to her, or what to do to repair something he wasn't actually at fault for in the first place. He felt as though he should be doing something that he couldn't. He knew they had been friends, before. And he felt somehow as though he knew her. But beyond that, he had little to go on. But this was about Katie, not him. So he took her on the short walk to the park to where he could see Anna sitting with her son. Katie had a little brown teddy bear dangling from one fist that she seemed reluctant to let go of. Robin had nothing but a feeling that he was going to do something to upset Anna again.
