Who: Heather and Open
Where: The new flat of asphalt around the resort.
When: A rather sunny afternoon.
What: Heather was feeling her roots, as a good country girl should.
Warning: Depends on who joins
The day was perfect, Robin was back in good health, Gabriel seemed to be back on his way to good health. The boss was back, and everybody wanted to kick his ass. Life was good. Life was better than good. It was as back to normal as normal could get in this place.
She was taking advantage of the, not to warm not to chilly, autumn afternoon. Her baby was itching for a bath. So dressed in some jeans that had seen better days, splattered with paint, with more thread bare spots than was almost decent, and tattered down at the bottom, and a button down blue checked shirt (because lets be honest you couldn't feel country roots in anything that wasn't checked) that was tied up to expose her stomach. Her feet were bare, but well worn cowboy boots lay off in the grass only a few feet away. On her head was a classic brown leather stetson, her long chestnut hair(That needed a cut if she were honest with herself) tied back in two pigtails beneath.
A sponge, soaped up and wet squeezed between her hand and the shiny red surface of her baby. The car styled after a 57 Chevy Bel air. The first. The one she and Tony put together, and if she were honest it was in that time that she began to fall in love with him. A little over a year ago. She wasn't sure when he started to feel things for her, but she knew by this time last year she was the only woman he was looking at. And the car was an article of love. And it showed with the way Heather cared for it.
There was a mixture of country music, the classics of course, and rock, classics in that genre too, blasting out the windows. And never able to resist singing a long with some excellent tracks, Heather belted a few out.
"One way or another I'm find ya, I'm gonna getcha getcha getcha."
