RATING: Low

Brooke was sitting on the couch in the living room, sewing up the seam of the dress she was working on. She'd completely finished Elena's reception dress now and it was safely put away in the wardrobe she shared with Damon, completely covered by a zipped up clothes bag to keep out prying eyes. She knew it wasn't exactly the wedding dress, but it was still best not to let too many people see it, just in case all the superstitions were right and it was bad luck. She had told Damon he wasn't allowed to look, but she wouldn't be surprised if he'd had a peek while she was out at work one night. He was insufferable like that, and she absolutely adored that about him. She wasn't sure where he was at the moment. She hadn't bothered getting out of bed until late morning and he was already up and out. Sometimes he worked the morning shift on security at the hotel but, whatever he was doing, if she woke up without him, he always made it up to her.
Brooke pushed the needle she was using into the fabric before reaching out to pick up her cup of coffee. She was wearing a pair of comfortable sweatpants and a white vest top and intended on staying in them all day. She didn't have to work tonight and she'd told Elena she'd help go through last minute wedding plans again. As was completely understandable, Elena was beginning to worry about the wedding, but everything was pretty much ready and Brooke and the other bridesmaids weren't going to let anything go wrong. She just needed to relax and enjoy the day.
Brooke took a sip of her coffee before putting it back down on the little table. She had to admit, she loved weddings. And Elena and Stefan seemed completely adorable together. She knew it still bothered Damon a little, but he'd assured her many times that she had nothing to worry about and that it was Brooke he wanted to be with. She didn't have any reason not to believe him. Apart from a couple of evenings when he'd been in a bad mood after work, he'd been completely lovely for the couple of months they'd been together. It was hard to comprehend that he was the same person she'd seen at the beginning of The Vampire Diaries. She was definitely glad she'd met him here as the person he was now. She knew she'd probably have ended up as lunch, otherwise.
