Who: Harry and Hermione
What: Catching up, Harry dealing with his guilty feelings
When: Tuesday afternoon
Where: Hermione's cabin
Rating: Low
Status: In Progress
Harry was walking to his cabin after spending the morning wandering around, looking at things, and watching the kids play. He had been hoping to run into somebody he knew, particularly Sirius, or, since they had never met before, his father. But seeing as they were all kids and didn't remember much at the moment, it would have been difficult to have a conversation anyway.
More than anyone else, he wanted to talk to Hermione. He had told her they would need to talk things out... well, now was a better time than any, he supposed. It was so difficult to steer his feet in the direction of her cabin, which was so close by. He wanted to apologize properly for missing their date the last time. He was sincerely sorry, even if it wasn't his fault what the manager decided to do with him. Harry could only hope that, this time, Petersen would keep him around for quite a while. Maybe even forever. For the moment, Ridgeway was still Voldemort-less (Harry crossed his fingers as he thought this) and much better than his real home. Many people he loved were here - people who had died in the other world. Now if he could just get Hermione back - everything would be perfect.
Harry wasn't stupid. He knew it would not be simple. But he had to start somewhere. And he would start now, by going to her cabin and talking to her.
Once outside her door, Harry took a deep breath and tried to compose himself. He made a fruitless attempt at flattening his hair before knocking. Oh no, what would he do if Hermione actually answered? Hug her? She might not like that... he decided he was best to keep his arms down, his hands firmly by his sides. He shoved them in his pockets and did his best to look calm, failing miserably.
